i like the ASG draft format, but the production and actual show itself was mickey mouse and almost unwatchable. They tried so hard to manufacture things that it ended up being uncomfortable. Plus, as I'm sure has been beaten to death, I wanted to jump into the crowd myself they were so obnoxious so I can only imagine how the players felt. They're used to being able to atleast yap back, must have been difficult to bite the tongue. - wilsonecho91
I was waiting for one of the Ottawa players to ask the crowd to show some class. |

You sir, are a god among men, and an excellent parent.
One question, what's with the devil horns? Do you expect her to be vilified and just thought what the heck? HAHAH - Hextall271
that was all on her own, she knew she was being a little bugger, she's a smart kid. Takes 100% after her Mom.
She really takes the Carcillo nickname to heart |

little turkey, she did it all on her own.
I was proud of the devils horns because she was being a little bugger, I have no doubt I'll be getting a letter home from he school.
Which I will promptly throw in the recycle bin with out reading.

I'm a proud Canadian (Even though I'm duel) but last night at the All-Star Draft in my mind was the second time Canada has embarrassed themselves. Sometimes we get pretty high and mighty up here because nobody gets shot, our country is pretty clean and for the most part we're known as being peaceful. After the Wayne Simmonds incident and now this, the league should probably think twice about getting up close and personal with the fans, especially when beer is involved. This whole peaceful act Canada puts on is just that. We're as miserable as any other country and we also treat each other like crap. |

They were talking on Hockey Central today that they wished Hartnell went last in the draft because he would have been an awesome interview and they knew it wouldn't have bothered him at all.
I love the Hartnell's of the NHL, you don't get the canned responses that most players give.
I also love a Knuble interview, he really thinks about the question and he's brutally honest. - Buts16
Not many of those guys in the league like Hartnell that's for sure. Gotta appreciate guys who are honest and don't take the easy way out using a bunch of interview cliches ... |

The Ottawa fans were obnoxious. I can see booing the leafs once, but every time Lupul spoke... Just overkill, and very uncool. |

Ummm... just the second time Canada has embarrassed themselves? Did you not hear about Vancouver last year? Or Montreal. Both rioting in the streets... I dont think Canada has as nearly nice a reputation as you think. When I think Canada I think stuck up, dirt bag Frenchie... You can thank the Hans fans for that.
No I would say Canada has done plenty to embarrass itself... Its just no-one in America cares so its not a big issue here. |

Didn't really have a problem with it ...and I highly doubt the players had a problem with it ...now I was told someone might have said draft Wade Belak... if that's true then that's (frank)in classless...I hope it's not true. |

I'm not racist, nor is Canadian a race. He was just saying that people think Canada is all sweet and nice, and I said that wasnt the first thing I think of when I think of Canada.
Dont get me wrong. I like canada. I want to move there one day. But It has embarrassed itself more then a couple times, and I think Habs fans give all Canadians bad reps. |

last night Melrose was talking about E. Karlsson getting drafted second. He said something to the effect that he isnt' well known to American fans because he plays for a Canadian team. That sentiment is so annoying to me. Listen, if I'm an NHL fan, I'm paying attention to all the teams, regardless of where they are playing. I don't care if the NHL includes a team in Mexico, I'd know aobut them. I'm not saying that everyone knows everybody, but Barry is reiterating a stupid idea (not surprising I guess). It may be accurate to say that people who root for an E. Conference team don't get to see a W. Conference team player play as much, etc., but the whole Canada v. U.S. thing bugs me. |
