It was stellar by Gerbe, all Staff did was tap it home. Nathan had the patience and the presence of mind to pull that puck wide and feed his linemate instead of just trying to score from a tough angle over a sprawling Thomas.
Still...great goal, great game.
Milbury and Macguire were in rare form yesterday, both had me wanting to blow my head off with a shotgun during the broadcast. - SabreHess
IKN RIGHT!!! god every time they spoke i just thought to myself "idiots"
Karma it is a female dog aint it ?Hats off to guys like Kaleta,Cody M for taking one for the team and dogging the the Bruins enforcers. We played the Bruins like the Old Flyers and it totally thru them off thier game.Garths right hit the bullies in the mouth it might hurt back but how bad do you want to win the game ?If I remember right Kaleta was injured or serving a suspension the first 2 games and Cody M had been in a major fight the game before.Starting to warm up to Leino as he seems to like the contact when hes on and being a pest.
Nice game by you guys - beat the Bruins in every aspect (I don't count winning fights as a victory when the team beats you 6-0 and goads you in to penalties/fights all night). Kaleta was at his best.
P.S. Love that 'Nucks fans continue to obsess over the Bruins.

So the Swords are 4-0-1 in their last 5 and have games against the Stars, Lightning, Devils, Flyers and Canadiens coming up. Can they get on a roll here and make a move up the standings? I hope so. A lot of hockey left and with the Sens tanking, is 8th realistic, or just some pipe dream?

it could be the blind squirel nut thing or it could be that this team turned the corner.. problem being they couldn't play that type of game night in and night out.

PS that goal should have counted - SabresFaninIndiana
Ruff = fired, Patrick = hired
Goal should have counted, but whatever...if you're going to fold the tent after a bad call, that's pretty sad. Despite having won the Cup last year, the team has a disconcerting lack of mental toughness sometimes.
Just curious. I watched the game but I didn't see either one of them out there. Did they play ? - Pairo11
Didnt notice Boyes much or Goose till goose came to Kaletas Aid late.Adams and Roy both had thier moments.Patrick did a perfect job getting the guys out who wanted to play.

i agree with the whatever on the goal and they shouldn't fold after that.. i don't watch enough Bs to know their mental toughness so i will not comment.
I bet some "fans" bring up the Ruff v Patrick crap.. it is all a joke and i am not sure patrick should be on the coaching staff to being with.

I only saw Goose when he came over and punched lucic for hitting Kaleta with his stick as he skated by in the 3rd period scrum...
Roy was on the line with Pommers and Leino but didn't see the score sheet.. thats sad.. - MillerTime1130
I usually can't ever say that Gaustad was invisible because he usually makes an impact. IMO even if they make the playoffs there are too many passengers on the bus to make any type of run. Roy and Boyes have to go. Aside from his goal and a few rushes they can take Staff with them. If they aren't part of the solution they are part of the problem.
Nice to see Leino show some emotion. He seems to finally be finding a place on the team. He plays like he's interested all of a sudden.
