It's safe to say that some of Bryz's issues are mental mistakes but his overall form looks bad. On the mental side, it was very disturbing to hear the remark about the fans. If he's worried about being liked by the fans or his feelings about the fans then his head is so far in left field he's totally lost.

So I was looking over Nash's career stats and they are not THAT impressive. Certainly not good enough to squash beliefs that his 7.8 million AAV is an overpayment. You could say it is because his entire career he has been playing with sub par talent but I really think you have to take a long look at exactly how valuable he is and weigh that against how much Howson is supposedly asking. Again, I cant see it happening.

I was just told that the Flyers would have to ship out over 2 million to get a guy like Gaustad. At the same time, we're at the contract limit. I do wonder if now is the time to send Shelley down for cap reasons.

It doesnt sit well with us because we have invested so much money in him and we are frustrated. He is still 0-0 with a 0.00 GAA in the playoffs for this team so until he poops the bed there I'll wait to crucify him.

Then I would prepare yourself to be upset because I dont think, despite the reports, that it one, makes sense to get him, nor does it make sense cap and personnel wise. This team is really deep 1-18. We just need consistent goaltending. I think some of the lackluster defensive play and turnovers can be attributed to the defense thinking they need to do too much and are over playing things a bit because of their lack of confidence in the goaltending. In turn they tend to go out of position or try too much and dont make the simple, smart plays.

I'm not saying this guy is going to be a Hall of Famer but this kid does have a certain drive about him. I do feel he's important to the youth movement of the team (which is why I'm glad we were able to move on front Nodl). No offense to Harry Z but I never understood how Z made the team over Wellwood.

I can see Wellwood being sent down in the near future but I'm willing to bet he's here to stay next season.

OMG I can NOT wait until the trade deadline is over and Nash is wearing a jersey other than the Flyers. I for one, would rather them not be a one line team with a bunch of ECHL level talent backing him and Giroux up. Especially after Giroux signs his next deal at 8 mill per.
