I would LOVE to have Rick Nash on our team. He is only 27 and is one of the best goal scoring power fowards of the decade. However, with his cap hit it just does not seem like it is even possible for us to take on his contract. We would have to give up a huge contract in return for it to even remotely make cap sense for this year and in the future. Also we would have to give away significant current pieces and future pieces of our team to get him. It just seems like on all fronts it just doesnt make sense for Nash to land here. |

Hockey Night in Canada says the list is misunderstood. They said he gave a list of some teams that he would be okay with going with if they can swing something but it's not like these teams were like a must. Like he strictly had to go to these teams. - Schenn2shine
he does have a NTC though, so i doubt he will accept a trade to another rebuilding team, especially if he is agreeing to leave columbus since he does not want to do another rebuild for the third time in his career. |

Haven't seen him. Matt Read was in dunk tank. Believe Missanelli in there now. RT @eddmch2: @BroadStBull is Kubina at carnival |

I think in the end Nash ends up in Toronto. I just have a feeling the Flyers will try to get Leighton back through waivers after the trade deadline, just a hunch. |

Goose went 8-0 in faceoffs just in the first period of the game today plus has a goal ...he's a guy I want on this team |

Big checking center. Good on the draw. Awesome penalty killer. |

You willing to give a 1st rounder for him or a decent prospect - Cousins, Gutfsy, or Bourdon? Gaustad is going to be in high demand, Buffalo will get more then just draft picks in my opinion.

Absolutely no way anyone gives that much up for Gaustad, he is a impending UFA at the end of the season. |

Sabers can have Burdon if that's all it takes to get Gaustad. Where do I sign? Not a first round draft pick though. |

You think you can get him for a third rounder? I just don't believe that will be enough.

Usually defensemen are coveted and worth more than forwards at the deadline so I wouldnt be shocked if someone can get him for a combination of draft picks. Not a 1st though |

If the Flyers manage to get Paul Gaustad without hurting the team, the same way they picked up Kubina and Grossman, the team is set. Even with the loss of Pronger, I could be a believer again in this season. Gaustad is the perfect fit and the only fit. Add a 2 NHL defenseman were no brainers, no matter who they were. Gaustad should be targeted specifically. |

I agree to some extent. Gaustad is not worth a first. |

In the Flyers' case, they only have a 1st and 3rd left in this year's draft. I think other teams have more assets to offer then the Flyers at this point.

As of right now Lack is just another goaltender in the system...hasnt even played a game in the NHL and he's already a stud? I dont think so - broadstreet11
You must have missed the quotation marks around "stud", point is I'd doubt Vancouver trades one goalie who many teams wants as a starter for BOB who still has some development to go before he's ready to be a #1.
No idea what they'd want in return but also being close to the cap it wouldn't be involving a trade with the Flyers since Schneider also still has to be resigned to a new contract. |

He is a glorified fourth liner. Gaustad only brings so much to the table. He's just a a household name, so some fans think he's worth a lot.
If its a pick and the Sabres are asking for more then a 3rd, I pass.
If its a player, I'd move on of our AHL guys and an even lower pick and thats it. Bourdon and a 5th.
Gaustad just doesn't warrant a crazy good return, especially as a FA, IMO. |
