They're still trying to work those things out of Vanek's game. He'll contribute for sure. But will he do it at the times we need him to the most?

They obviously wanted a player not just a draft pick. Though being they don't currently have a 1st rounder, you would have thought they would have been willing to make that trade.

I disagree on two parts.

First, I'd hope he isnt 2 more years away from just potentially challenging for a spot on this team. If he's worth his salt he better be on this team 3 years after he is drafted.

Develop and mature sure, but I doubt he gains good habits and loses bad ones. More times than not a player is who is he by now. He either wants to play hard night in and night out or he doesn't. Its already engrained in them by now....most of the time.

Just my thoughts, nothing more.
