Sabres win + Leafs loss to Devils + Jets loss to Flyers= 5 point gap on Toronto.
For good measure, it would be nice of the Ducks to beat the Bolts.
how can people doubt our playoff chances when all we need is all these things to happen every night? |

i had no idea how good the chances are for playoff contention - rambo777
And a Sabres loss plus a Toronto win = a 9 point gap.
Washington at the 10th seed is 3 point behind Florida the 3 seed. |

I'm going to root for them to get it. I like watching the playoffs. I like watching my team in the playoffs, even if they do get swept in the first round.
If they bottom out, however, I'm not going to be too disappointed. I just can't sit there and hope they lose. There's no point in watching. If I want to be miserable about watching something, I just read or watch something about politics. |

Back on topic about Leopold:
If the Sabres can get a first for him (I don't think they will, but I can understand dd's logic), then you trade him.
If you can get a 2nd and a prospect for him, that prospect better be someone that has some sort of name value. It better not be someone that nobody really knows much about but "our scouting department really likes him".
If you can only get a 2nd, keep him. The 2nd round is a crapshoot. |

It wouldn't be a trade deadline if both Moore and Leopold weren't traded for a 2nd rounder. |

yea.... after watching Washington last night going against Carolina's back up goalie in Justin Peters getting shutout.
I'm not too worried about WSH anymore.
Jets will be the team that push Toronto out IMO.
Sabres will finish about 10th I bet. |

Is he though? I know he's looked good, but I keep thinking back to 2008, when Buffalo wanted to elect Chris Butler mayor after about 15 games. Perhaps staying down in Rochester another season wouldn't be the worst thing for him.
I remember earlier in the year, when McNabb stepped up and leveled some guy at center ice. Everyone loved it...despite the fact that he took himself out of position and the result was a 2 on 1 going the wrong way. |

I know it's kind of anathema to say so, but IMO Leopold has been the best d-man the sabres have over the last two seasons. He's consistent, unlike every other d-man, and he doesn't cost and arm and a leg. |

weber has a lot of potential..but ur right...he's sloppy...i really think an extended stint on a line with regher would do wonders with his game...yes ikn regher isn't playin the best right now...but being on a line with a veteran who plays a similar style of game could rly help him improve his own |
