I'd take him back in a heartbeat, but if that's the only move Stan makes I'll be pissed.

Campoli would not be the worst thing that could happen to the hawks especially for the power play and to take away minutes from Leddy.......however if this and morrison are the only moves.........not acceptable.

Probably, unless Stan and Q go away before it's too late.

Be prepared to be disappointed.

I'm already disappointed...and don't expect that to change until next September when my optimism returns...at least briefly (pending a CBA resolution).

I'm surprised not a single person has brought up that the second goal was actually seabrook's fault. Yes Leddy failed to move Ericsson out of the way which you can't do, but Seabrook did the exact same thing and his guy Ryder ended up scoring the goal. I think Leddy is still looking for his jock on that third goal though...strangely that goal also deflected off Seabrook.

Personally I thought 4 was our worst defender tonight. It could be rust, but he seemed to do what he usually does, play tentative, turn the puck over on the boards, miss on long stretch passes. He blocks shots but that's about it.

Possible. The 85 Bears DID NOT get decimated. yes, they lost Wilbur Marshall, but other factors hurt the Bears.

-Ditka became a circus clown as time went on
-1987 Bears were the best team that year, but the strike severed that team
-Charles Martin
-Handling of McMahon/Flutie situation divided locker room

Drafts in the last 1980s also faded as compared to what Finks and Vanisi gave...still, there is no excuse for that Bears team coming up with only 1 World Title. Honestly, they should have won in 86 and 87 with more competent leadership. ... 1988? Hard to say...the 49ers beat the hell out of the Bears in the NFC Title game that year. I'd like to think the Bears were better, but 28-3 says otherwise.

The two teams are very different, but the results could be similar.

The problem isn't Leddy or Hjam.......the problem is the depth on the back end. Teams that win the cup have strong 5-7 dman. When you have 2 or 3 guys on the back of the blue line who play smart, don't turn the puck over, and can give you decent minutes it puts less strain on 1-4........I'm stating the obvious here but, the hawks do not have anything close to that.

I don't disagree with that. In a perfect world, you have Hammer or Monty as your 6th dman, Leddy as your 5th and a more stabilizing force at 4. That's why were all chomping at the bit for guys like Grossman, Kubina, and Quincey. We need that guy badly.

Not a single one. Where did you hear this?

Rumor was he disagreed with some of the leadership. Speculation is he disagreed with Sharp in particular.

I do to....I think he is the one they miss the most from the players they traded after the cup.....I heard him and sharp had issues with each other.....I could be wrong.

It was brought up here a couple months ago. Something between him and Sharp. I read after the trade, it was between him and the captain..so who knows..

Ladd and Sharp issue. Wonder what that was all about?

If Ladd disagreed with the leadership, then that lends credibility to his position, because our leadership looks like a bunch of clowns since the Cup.

Sure it's not just soap opera garbage. I mean, there is a player on my hockey team I can't stand, because he thinks he's way better than he really is and he never makes a mistake and every problem is the cause of someone else. He also brags too much about how much money he makes and had the gall to rag a fiance' of another team member because the job she wanted ONLY PAID 100K a year.

Basically, I want to punch this pr*ck in the mouth every time he breaths...HOWEVER>>>>

when we're on the ice he's pretty good and I want him to do well. So I don't like him, but we do work well on the ice together.

Sure it wasn't just some personality conflicts?

It may be personality conflicts, but a personality conflict in a professional sports organization is huge. Especially in a locker room. These guys spend almost all their time together, if they can't work together long term, things will break apart and come to light.
