Sure it's not just soap opera garbage. I mean, there is a player on my hockey team I can't stand, because he thinks he's way better than he really is and he never makes a mistake and every problem is the cause of someone else. He also brags too much about how much money he makes and had the gall to rag a fiance' of another team member because the job she wanted ONLY PAID 100K a year.

Basically, I want to punch this pr*ck in the mouth every time he breaths...HOWEVER>>>>

when we're on the ice he's pretty good and I want him to do well. So I don't like him, but we do work well on the ice together.

Sure it wasn't just some personality conflicts?

It may be personality conflicts, but a personality conflict in a professional sports organization is huge. Especially in a locker room. These guys spend almost all their time together, if they can't work together long term, things will break apart and come to light.

There is NO WAY on a team of 23 some odd players EVERYONE will love each other. There will be players you don't really like, but you have a common goal and a job to do.

Ladd was one gritty MOFO...I'd take him back in a heartbeat.

Uh Carter is the #2 center this team is lacking.

Since when is he a hitter. Get a f'n clue dude.

- JoeHawks88

Uh......yes the team does need a #2 but it is far down on the wish list.....defense.....creates more scoring chances.......there is your clue.

LOL...only if someone got killed or cheated on another's wife. I'm actually retiring from that team this Summer (going sub) and playing closer to home (plus that league is a sham and is full of A leaguers and former college hockey players that I can't keep up with). So I won't see that person as much.

Agreed, I think we would all love to have Ladd back. He could play on all four lines effectively and he had the grit/heart we lack but......things happen

They won't love each other, but if they actively dislike each other, you've got trouble. If Ladd feels that Sharp is going about his job the wrong way, that's a big disagreement in the workplace.

Still I feel like Ladd is a professional and would absolutely play through anything. He was and is the one person I wish we hadn't had to give up. I think he was the last real piece to be sent away too so I think that speaks volumes what the organization thought of him.

I agree. Put him and Troy Brouwer on this team and I promise you we'd be singing a much different tune right now. Oh well.

Didn't Ladd burn some bridges?
- UnnamedSource

If he did, I'd bring my tools and help rebuild that sucker.

Ladd is THE one player I miss off the cup team.

Change Oduya for Mark Stuart and you're talking.

On a brighter note, trout season opens here in OR in 33 days.

How close are you to the CA border? I did a year at Humboldt State back in 89-90. The weather would drive ya nutz, but the country was gorgeous.

What Ladd did to Kesler was the greatest thing.

Didn't Kesler call out Laddy and the next game they played Laddy offered and Kesler turtled like the pud he is? I TOTALLY lost all respect for Kesler at that moment...his diving and whining after that just sealed the deal?

Ladd is all hockey player, all man...it's a travesty he's not on this team right now.

Agreed...he should have been part of the "core". When that season ended I felt the same way....gotta keep Ladd. Oh well...now we all pine for Ott, which would be a good thing.

I don't like Ott as much as Ladd, but I sure as hell won't complain if we bring him in...a guy who actually doesn't hyperventilate when he gets near the crease and can actually check.

Would have NO problem with Otter.

I swear the guy always does something important when he plays against us. Kind of like how Vrbata and Jokinen ALWAYS score goals against us. Maybe we just need all these guys and they'll all score every night

I hate PHUCKING PLAYING DALLAS just for games like this, but the boys played a very good game for 40 minutes. Nick Leddy looked great for the first 2 frames and when do i ever complement Dozy Nick ? Jimmy Hayes was OUTSTANDING. Thanks Harvard genius Brian Burke. On D, Seabs was loosening molars with his hits until a poor clear and a bad bounce blemished his night.

Crow looked good, especially in the first. Couple nice reflex stops and then he enjoyed an easy 2nd, before coming unglued in the 3rd. I'm a big C2 fan but two words i would NEVER associate him with are: MENTALLY TOUGH. When he gives up a goal in a clutch, late circumstance....others tend to follow. It's a symptom of our team in general and it's hard to watch.

Crow has credited his recent good play to playing deep in his crease. IT'S A SELF DELUDING FALLACY. For a guy this big to be camping out under his PHUCKING CROSSBAR is a joke. He's lucky Garbutt didn't score in the first when Crow backed into the water bottle and the Stars rook rang a slapper off the pipe. And does anyone think his pads are just a big too big? FFS. His pillows constitute 3/4's of his legs. That's not a conducive set up for being able to go post to post well. All that being said, tonight's loss isn't on Corey. It's on bad d zone play and BAD BOUNCES.

All 3 Dallas goals were on lucky bounces. The Stars were good and lucky. Jimmy Hayes just missed making it 2-0 early in the 3rd off a great rush. And Hayes was ROBBED by the ice cube rookie Stars goalie in the 2nd.

We had our chances...didn't finish, let them hang around and got victimized by some bad luck in the 3rd.

The sun will rise tomorrow for the Tomahawk.

Of course we had Vbata...who became damn good shortly after we dumped him...forehand-backhand every time.

We had Vrbata, we had Robidas, we had Niemi, we had Buff, we had Ladd, we had Burish, we had Eags......yep, we had em all at one point or another.

As for landing Ott, if our GM could do it, i'd be amazed. I'll reserve judment on our fearless leader until Monday evening.

My attitude towards SB has been slipping slowly but surely since the season started. I now completely question his ability to evaluate talent and make big decisions. This deadline is another test for him, as will be the coming offseason.

Now the CBA negotiations remain the elephant in the room so I withhold my final opinion of SB until the first season after the deal is complete.

But the trend is NOT good.

And to think that USA Hockey signed him up as an advisor.

SB has NEVER made an impact deal at the deadline and for the first time in his tenure, he is expected to. At least by me and by the sound of it...so are many of you.

Real simple. You don't leave Eriksson uncovered on the doorstep and then get turned inside out by Ryder.

Leddy is the 800 pound gorilla no one wants to acknowledge. Overmatched, no confidence, terrible.

Hossa's to blame? No Hossa, they lose 2-0.

- John Jaeckel

The other two goals were a direct result of the first. It opened the flood gates. Thye said at the first intermission the key with Dallas is stay patient. Because once you make ONE mistake thats when they pounce.
