I'm always curios with these posts....what would you like Q to say??? - UnnamedSource
I wasn't criticizing him for what he said, but I know that I get tired of him saying the same stuff after every loss. Somebody asked him with only 20 games left, if these types of losses don't get tougher to handle. I'd like to just hear him be honest and say yes, we can't afford to give games away like that at this stage of the season. Instead he said something about it being an amazing race in the West. |

Tell the truth, say "we gave up, we thought we had the win and decided to coast."
No coach ever would but it that not what happened? - yobwoc03
I agree with you but I always roll my eyes when people complain about Q's post game comments.....he is not going to throw anyone under the bus nor would any coach. Those looking for the honest tell all quotes from a head coach in any sport will be waiting a long time......it doesn't happen anymore....and if it coach did do that.....it's the kiss of death. |

Kane needs the player on the other end of his amazing passes to put the puck in the damn net...... - UnnamedSource
Is it too much to ask that he put the puck in the net once in awhile? |

Brutal flyby at the point to cost the Hawks the game. - nathanjf
Right, Leddy sleepwalking had nothing to do with goals 2 and 3, the winning margin. The first goal merely tied the game. Please. |

Much more than that play was to blame. Plenty to go around. Start with lazy entire third period. End with this team is too soft to play a physical team and last for three periods. - Return of the Roar
Yeah, blame the tying goal for the losing goal(s).

After 62 games, Kane has 13 goals. This is not a trade Kane post by any means, but his inability to put the puck in the net is really hurting . Right now, I don't see him getting 20 goals and for a guy who is one of your supposed leaders, that's beyond being a bad year. Listening to Joel after the game, "tough loss", "didn't generate much offensively", "can't give up those types of goals", yadda, yadda, yadda. Seems like I've heard all of it before. - RetiredGoalie
Good for 114th in the league....not bad for your 6.3 mil offensive sniper.
Just a nothing game...no energy...1- zip going into the 3rd was not going to hold.

Phuk that how about Hossa not trying to skate the zone and if he simply gets the dam puck out we have a differnt outcome. In a tight game where they are suppose to playing D zone hockey what kind of poop was that by Hossa. If that was Kane he'd be dehaeaded by now. Just a boneheaded play in a tight game that gave Dallas their first goal and gave them the momentum they needed.
But since thats off my cheast yea Kane needs to light the god dam net. Pissed off right now. - mvp0207

Gotcha...but you have to see it from his point of view.....he knows the team is fragile upstairs....they play lazy against the "eh" teams of the league.....they disappear for long periods of time in almost every game....they just came off a 9 game stinker....I'm sure and I hope he is much more candid with them behind closed doors..... |

Real simple. You don't leave Eriksson uncovered on the doorstep and then get turned inside out by Ryder.
Leddy is the 800 pound gorilla no one wants to acknowledge. Overmatched, no confidence, terrible.
Hossa's to blame? No Hossa, they lose 2-0.

Never said I wanted him to "throw anyone under the bus." That was a bad loss and even worse at this time of the year. Is it really a kiss of death for him to say that? Maybe I'm just irritated that they gave this game away and I would have liked to see a little fire from him. Just my view point on it. Has nothing to do with the loss. |

I know, just frustrated. That's why I don't tune in until 7 minutes after "scheduled" puck drop, would rather see the actual puck drop so that I don't have to hear the same garbage before every game. Change channels and get 17 minutes of other games during intermissions, and change channels when the game is over. There is nothing that can be said that we haven't heard a million times already. |

Agree with you but at this point in the season what do you do? Assume they don't get any help......do you sit him? send him to rockford??........having him and Olsen on the blue line going into the play offs would be a complete mess.

Not blaming Hossa for the loss, but it was a bad play on his part at that time of the game and it definitely seemed to change the momentum. Leddy looked bad on the other two goals and offensively, the Hawks didn't generate much. I know they had quite a few shots, but very few of them were high quality chances. |

Judging by the scowl he has on the bench during games like this I would bet my left nut that locker room had a lot of smoke coming from it.......but yes this loss could not have come at a worse time. |

And Leddy had over 24 minutes on the ice tonight. Lots of upside, but I shudder to think of how he would do logging that kind of time in the playoffs. |

JJ...Leddy got 25 TWENTY FIVE MINUTES of ice time tonight.
Meanwhile, the ONLY forwards with a + rating (Frolik and Mayers) got EIGHT minutes. Hammer was the only other player with a +.
John Scott dresses and plays TWO MINUTES. WHAT IS THE POINT?
Keith back up over 27 minutes. And while he didn't play bad, I think we can all agree he plays better at 24-25.
And Bowman trades for B. Morrison and he either stinks as a player now (and should have never been obtained) or Q won't play him because he doesn't want him to play, all indicating some form of pizzpoor management OR very horrible communication between the GM and Coach.
The GM gets the Coach a player and...well the player DOES NOT PLAY. Makes sense if the team is run by frolicking jesters.

No argument here. Not a good situation. And I am starting to believe they will not get any help of any significance. Bowman seems to want to try to underbid in every situation (and this is a POV coming from within the organization now—read Zawaski's blog from the other day). One thing to aim big and talk big . . . another to actually go big. Better safe than sorry? You can be safe and be sorry. |
