standard miller, i guess he doesn't realize that the "core" he came up with just cannot get the job done. if we had won 2 cups with gaustad i'd respect him for saying that about him but FINALLY we are taking a new direction with this team. |

Yeah I get how he must be feeling too, it can't be fun for anyone. All he had to say though is that it sucks seeing your friends get traded away, there's nothing wrong with that. For some reason, he felt that he needed to criticize his GM for making a really good trade (a GM who's not necessarily known for making really good trades). Saying dumb stuff like that to the media doesn't help anyone. - Jeffmt
It doesn't matter. I have no problem with it. Once the next game starts it will go away. Miller and Gaustad have played together for almost a decade. He sees him traded for a pick. He didn't mean to criticise the trade. Just sad to see his friend go. He can have opinions. People take poop to seriously... |

You know what? I'm glad Miller reacted. It just proves what we have been saying all along. The "core" has become too comfortable with eachother. We've wanted the locker room to be shaken for a long time, and Miller's comments seem to show that it's working. |

You should have a problem with it, the organization does. His job is to stop the puck not critize the trade. And how do how do you know he didnt mean too, sure sounded like it to me. |

If it was anyone else it probably wouldn't have warranted a second thought. I think it just irks some people because it's Miller saying it and he's been running his mouth all season. You're right though, at the end of the day it's not really that big of a deal. |

eh, his demeanor in the audio was not nearly as whiny as the written quotes made him sound. - BuffaJoe
I think a lot of people are reading more into it than they should. He does actually make some good points. In general, the move is good for the organization, but in the near future, there are things that the team was solid at that are now question marks.
Gaustad was a leader on the team. He wore and A and he did it with pride. He's worked his ass off to get to the NHL. Am I also a little sad to see him go? Yes. But in the end, it was a move that needed to be made. They spent a lot of time and energy developing him into the player he is. They couldn't risk letting that walk away for nothing. If he likes it here so much, he'll consider dropping his asking price and taking what they offered. If he doesn't, then we all know he didn't really give a rats ass about the team or the city. |

Miller needs to either keep his mouth shut or ask for his own trade out of town. His act must be getting old in Buffalo. - Jeffmt
Agreed. KNow your roll, Mr. Softy. Stop the puck and STFU |

GARTH: Miller Not Happy About Gaustad Trade - garth
maybe Miller and the rest of the boys should not have taken so many nights off if they wanted to be a team together.
growing up can be a tough thing, maybe this will force them to grow up |

The move was a no-brainer. Bottom line. End of discussion. |

I didn't really think it sounded that bad from the audio. Sure, the quotes written out look like complaints, but they didn't sound spiteful as much as sad. Still needs to grow up, but I feel like he would have been reprimanded because this is ANOTHER thing the media will run with in a negative way as opposed to criticizing management. That said, I have no idea what managements intent was with the slap on the wrist if there was one. |

And maybe because he got his head taken off, Millsy forgot that one of his "best friends" was on the ice and didn't so much as swing his purse at Lucic to defend him. |

am I the only one who finds it funny that Miller's supposed best friend was on the ice when Lucic punked him and Goose did absolutely nothing? To me, Gaustad epitomitized the soft image of our team. He was the supposed heart of the roster, the guys who "plays the right way" and he ran scared. Pathetic. I'm glad he is gone. |

I will say that he brought any criticism on himself by saying he didn't want to blow it up a week or two ago and that people who do don't know anything. That time he DID sound whiny. Definitely. |

the way Lindy juggles lines, he will have played on all 4 lines and probably a bit in Rochester by St Patrick's Day. |
