Well if he is agressive nobody is listening? I don't care what the reason is. Bring in a GM who is capable of sighning NHL caliber FA's or making a trade that can be considered making an improvement. If he can't he is not a capable GM. - Cptmjl
You cant just go out and trade for what you need... you need a willing partner. Considering what we have that is tradeable... what did you think that will bring back that we need? Not a top 2 D or a top 3 forward without giving up any of the core... so you just want a trade for the sake of a trade..Why?

How do we know its Wang? Snow has continuously stated and be quoted as saying he is control and this is his team. If that were'nt the case he should just keep his trap shut like he does with everything else. He has no problem doing that and should continue to do so. He should not get a pass. - Cptmjl
Because Wang has said repeatedly that he wants fighting out of hockey.
EVERY GM that has control of their team still has to answer to their boss.. every single one of them.

Does not have to be a "big" trade, make a trade or a sighning that improves this team drastically. He has not done that. Thats his job, thats what he gets paid to do. He is not doing his job. - Cptmjl
neither of these 2 things NEEDS to be done.

I'm certainly not saying to make a trade for the sake of making a trade. Make a trade or sighning to improve a team that has picked in the top five three years in a row! It ain't rocket science, he's a GM. Its his job - Cptmjl
And we are rebuilding.. its a good thing to pick in the top 5.

Thre are more holes in this team than that. These guys are a bunch of figure skaters and get their asses kicked night in and night out. I'm sick of the "its Wangs fault notion" . Some blame has to rest in Snow's lap, he is the GM. Yu're going to be waiting a long time for two top four Dman signings. Snow's track record says it all - Cptmjl
Then we will draft them

Out of curiosity, seeing Nino's play this year, how do you feel about that pick? |

It makes me want to throw up when I see 1 point. Jesus. I get he was playing with the benders, but come on. Scares me that he can't generate anything on his own. Very dependent on the linemates. |

Linemates are a big part of it along with the fact that he was rushed and is not close to ready. Next year he should be in bridgeport. |

I LOVED Skinner, but wanted Fowler really bad... i wasnt happy with the Nino pick but watching him in Jrs the next season really turned me on to him. Of course i had dreams of him coming to camp this season & then winning the calder while the team shocked the world & made the playoffs.
Im not pleased with what he showed this season, but im not worried about his future the skills are there.

post rolston.
Bailey 3 Games 4 Goals.
Said it once said it again. Put Bailey on line with some skill and you'll see a completely different player.
Dont worry, Niteislander and I will wait for the apologies to come in. Take your time.
I thought Nino has strong game last night.
So funny when rolston had few opportunities at the door step or shooting at point and never once did i feel threatened he would score. Why. he cant hit the net from point and he puts the puck right in goalies crest down low.
I think rolston and mottau surpassed hilbert in my all time, Happiest to see them go players all time. |

Bailey has been good these last few games. I hope he finally turned the corner, and playing the wing is good for him. I just have to believe he goes back to doing nothing real soon. Last year he had times when he looked to be in beast mode and then he just stopped and became invisible again. Not sure what it is but the talent is clearly there. |

I agree with your assestment, but also it took Nashville a very long time.
And bc we are NY, we should not take a long time, but with the Isles, it will. - Ur Not Me
This comment will look ridiculous at first glance, but we really aren't New York, in the sense that every other NY sports team (yes, even the hilariously inept Mets) are considered "big market teams" in their respective leagues. The Islanders are not a big market team in any sense of the word. |

Have to at Rolston saying he didn't get a shot with the Isles and didn't play with real talent. |

3 games and you're taking him from an invisible player to a great player? He's undoubtedly playing much better with better linemates, but he's gotta keep that up for a respectable amount of games before he makes me even believe that maybe everyone was possibly wrong. It's going to take continued consistently good play into next season. |

I think playing wing allows him to be more aggressive and not worry as much about defense. He is going to dirty areas all of a sudden |

Wing is definitely easier due to the lesser defensive responsibility, and I fully acknowledge he looks a lot better. I'm just not about to write off a few years of mostly terrible hockey based on 3 productive games. |

Another thing i said a long time ago... When Bailey was playing on Schremp's wing, Josh had some of his best games as an Islander. Fast forward to the here & now.. Josh is moved to the wing once again & producing like we all hoped he would. I have always said that with the addition of Strome as our second line center it would push Josh to his wing.
XxNYIxX
P.S. I am not over looking the fact he is playing with more talented linemates. |

Bailey. If he wants to stay an islander he needs to be good on wing with strome coming |

Anders Nilsson will start today. Eaton (lower body) and Reese (flu) are questionable. Grabner (flu) most likely will not play.
