That was the stupidest thing I have seen. Yes, the fights were entertaining, but what's the point? Win the game, no need for the sideshow bullpoop - Jsaquella
They are the kinda fights I hate... wait till someone throws a big border line hit than have a go.. I look at the Flyers vs Ottawa game for example..
There was a real subplot going in with the Havlat buttend on Recchi.. there were huge hits and a lot of animosity building up... then Brash destroys Rob Ray in a fight and that block head Chris Neil (i think) decided to sucker Brash... after that it was time to go.
Well, he willingly took on George Parros. He didn't win, but he didn't back down either.

I guess I just expect a guy that looks like him would be a tough SOB... I love what he does for this team, and I wouldnt change it, but just looking at him... I would think... That guy can throw them...
I agree the Flyers dropped the ball... It would have been better to just put Upshall on Waivers and not get Carcillo, then to give up a second with Upshall... - RooNosHockey
Would have been better to just find another way to fit Giroux without losing a guy who was playing some solid hockey for the Flyers than to waste an asset

If it was Upshall for Carcillo straight up, I'd have no problem with the trade. - Jsaquella
Carcillo had his moments, but he was too much of a loose canon. If Carcillo is a street thug, Rinaldo is like a trained assassin. Sneaky on the ice and out of nowhere catches you with a big hit. Carcillo was loud and attracted too much attention sometimes. At least when Rinaldo gets a penalty, he tends to get his money's worth. I also think Rinaldo has much better hands than Carcillo.

There isn't much fighting in Swedish hockey, unlike Canadian junior hockey. He had a few in the AHL before coming to the NHL. I think he's handled himself fine when he's had one.
Didn't see it. Was it staged fight off the opening face off? - funmaster18
The last Devs-Rangers game in NJ, Tortorella started Rupp and Prust and there was a fight 3 seconds in. So last night, DeBoer started a line with Boulton and Janssens.
Tortorella flipped, and started a line with Rupp and Prust, centered by Stu Bickel, a tough defenseman. The gloves were off before the puck hit the ice.

3 fights.
torts was yelling at deboer, livid that he was starting 3 toughguys and matched with prust, rupp, bickel. after the game deboer said basically 'so he can come in our building and start his toughguys but we cant do it here? either he has a short memory or he's a hypocrite'

Would be great to see them go toe to toe sometime - funmaster18
Carcillo had more talent than I gave him credit for, but he's still never been able to fins the line. Rinaldo works hard at toeing the line and for the most part hasn't hurt the team with bad penalties. His rep from the AHL and juniors has hurt him a bit, but if he keeps himself under control, he'll be a solid grinder

As for the whole Mezaros injury 1 we discussed it yesterday 2. He's pretty much done for the season 3. hopefully we got our injury quota out of the way.

Even though I liked him a little more after 24/7, I still despise Torts. He is such a whiny wiener.
EDIT:
Didnt know that would be edited, but it makes it much better ahahahahha

Hate that damn Fonzy. Makes me almost want to play them in the first round so we can be the ones to shut him up.
Sounds like tortsy is already coming unhinged - funmaster18
The problem is that the Rangers followed the fights by dominating the game. The score was close, but the Rangers were the better team by a good margin.

Really I'm not a big Tortorella fan. Yea he won a cup 8 years ago that's nice, yea his pos rangers team is in first place, so was Bruce Boudreau's team a couple times and IMO I think he's just got a big mouth.

Yes Rinaldo had a bad reputation, but IMO he's done a very good job showing he can be a good hockey player. He makes smart plays, knows his role, and hits extremely hard. Great guy for the playoffs.

Well, I got to get to work, but one update:

As for number 2... I hope we last long enough he can come back
