It makes sense if you don't think about it. |

It was reported a lot that the Hawks were going hard after Roy during the last hour of the trade deadline. Do you have any idea what Buffalo wanted back ? |

The only thing I heard was that there weren't very many good offers for Roy. There were better/more trades proposed for Gaustad. |

because they found out some of the 1st year pros in Rochester can play in the NHL and this gives them more depth as they move forward or gives them assests to trade. However, there is always growing pains with young players as we found out during the stretch when we had all those injuries. |

Don't quit your day job.
I think some call ups did well, the problems was the regulars did not step up. |

Deep dish pizza, what ever food you want to trade for him is fine. |

Agree 100%!! Roy, Vanek, Goose before trade, Gerbe, etc.....all were no shows for much of the season. Its sad when Foligno plays about a dozen games and was probably the best player out there. |

Exactly. If Darcy can purge Buffalo's roster of Staff and Roy AND bring in a top flight #1 Center I would gain some respect for him.
The core needs removal. |

Garth, how the hell can you post a blog like this? you know damm well that it doesn't matter how many picks the Sabres have, you really want Darcy making anymore decisions for this team? he needed to be gone 6 yrs ago and take Lindy with him. Sound's like you have a lot of "JUICE" so i'm sure every player will be running to you with info after locker clean out day, or should I say " EXCUSE DAY". |

Did you read/hear Hamilton's claim about Lindy Ruff not wanting a strong captain because he doesn't want to be challenged in the locker room? If that's the case, he needs to go too. |

Garth sure did a nice job talking [poop] after the Sabres beat the Caps. Garth jinxed them. |

I think Stafford is to young to dump. It takes a few years for a lot of players to reach their peak. I use the example of the sedins |

Did lindy say this or is this speculation on Hamilton's part? |

Staff and Ennis had amazing chemistry that I dont think you break up. Trade Vanek and get Parise in here. Roy could be useful next year because its a contract year so he'll probably put up some big numbers for us, but to be honest as long as we get a decent return on him I could care less. |

I would move vanek, roy, sekera kaleta and leopold
bring in a shut down d man (suter) and resign sulzer
torn on weber or mcnabb to be the last d man in this situation
I think tropp brings more long term then kaleta and I do not think tropp is a third liner yet
then go after a clowe type left winger, a brown type rw and bring up a kid to be the third line center
just my two cents

Stafford is nothing and only show's up with about a third or less of the season left, he should have been gone 2 years ago. He was drafted in 04 and it's going into the 2012-2013 season, how much longer should we give him? |

Trade Myers, for as big as he is he will never amount to Chara. We have way to many soft players on this team and it shows. |

Staff refuses to use his size and fails to give effort on every shift.
He'll never live up to his so-called potential. |
