Wrong. The video clearly shows the opposite.

Heres another one on Iginla another star. And this is why its different then Keith

ALL UPWARDS SHOULDER TO Chin semi leaps. All his MO. ALL with virtual immunity. All im sure with the league pleading and telling him to stop THESE type of hits. And now taking out one of the best two way players in the game in the playoffs drastically altering the outcomes. All if nothing is done is going to wind up with a serious serious injury to someone. Or finally someone losing it and assaulting torres on ice and ruining their lives.

Torres and Kronwall, similar M.O.. Interestingly, Torres has been punished a lot more. Shanahan soft-pedals Kronwall like nobody's business.

Incorrect. Smith leaned in/down to pay the puck, long after Shaw committed to try to swing by him. That's when the contact happened. Lucic had WAY more opportunity to pull up.

...and John, it should be mentioned that Lucic has 50 lbs on Miller. And Smith has about 40 lbs. on Shaw.

Whenever I recall the Lucic hit on Miller, and how the league passed on punishment, I get pissed. The league's credibility took a hit there, and again with Weber.

There will be serious consequences to Torres.

Not only because of his past, not only because of what he did, INTENTIONALLY, but because the spotlight has been shining brightly on the NHL playoffs this week for exactly this reason.

The one thing I disagree with people on is blaming Shanahan.

Shanahan has absolutely zero to do with the stupidity going on right now.

He did not tell the refs to put away the whistle halfway through this season. He did not suddenly decide not to issue or justify suspensions the same way.

This is ALL about the NHL board of governors.

They have no interest whatsoever in stopping this stuff.

The NHL has not been in the media like it is now, for as long as I can remember. It does not matter one iota who gets hurt or how... in fact, the bigger the name, the better.

They are LOVING the Pittsburgh/Philly stuff and loving this just as much.

Shanahan is a puppet. He either pimps himself out, or loses his job.

Don't disagree with a word, dude. Torres is the perfect Sin Eater for all this.

Well, Shanahan deserves blame. If you take the job, do the f--ing job. his personal brand has suffered tremendously because he is now part of the problem.

Simple solution, stay in the net.

As a rule? I'm not sure on that one. They're pretty restricted as is. I actually think that they are thinking about eliminating the trapezoid. Not sure where I heard it. I imagine you would be against that.

My anger from this morning is wearing off. The best revenge should have been the Hawks winning the game. And they couldn't.

Gotta say, I think the shortened bench really hurt them and will going forward. Toews is not 100%. The OT goal was inexcusable.

They need to win tomorrow, finish a lot of checks, maybe they get a little lift from Saad or Hayes, who knows. They can still make it a series. They would get Shaw back in Game 6, if it gets that far. Never know.

Maybe losing their headhunter will take some of the starch out of the Coyotes.

But Hossa is done for the year so that really hurts the Hawks' chances down the line anyway.

Tomorrow night is everything now.

yes it is and the Hawks should have all the incentive in the world to come out with energy, passion and smarts to get this game!

Saad will be on line with Toews per Jessie Rogers just on ESPN 1000
