Amongst all this bullpoop and non hockey talk , Kane turned the puck over at the Phoenix blue line like Satlberg used to do and th epuck ended up in the back of the Hawks net. Sucks.

I give credit to the PHX Dman. Great little poke of the puck and they went the other way. I would have liked KAne to get that on net, but good play by PHX.

Which is a problem for Hammer, and other Hawk defenders as well: weak puck plays that get turned over and ultimately put on net, too often to wind up in the net.

Too small on D. Average goaltending. That is what's happening.

One thing, when you've been around for a while, you get some perspective. Hawk fans love to decry Huet as the worst goalie in history. He wasn't. Statistically, in terms of size and stylistically, he was very similar to . . . Corey Crawford.

Crawford is not as great as some like to think. We saw it again last night. He gives up too many soft goals.

DBTH, see it for what it is. Hawks need an upgrade in net and more size on D or we will see more of the same next year, with or without the great Brandon Saad.

The whole point is goalies shouldn't be able to have it both ways. If they're untouchable because they are so vulnerable that they can't be expected to take the same physical abuse as regular skaters, then they shouldn't be allowed to sometimes participate in the game as if they were a regular skater, i.e. playing the puck outside if the crease. Like I said before, if the et minders are truly "untouchable", why not just have Crawford beat the forecheck by having him just skate the puck out of the D zone?

You know how easy it is to lift the goalie stick steal the puck then the net is open. Thats NOT a valid point.

Agreed. Think the first goal was a result of Leddy getting outmuscled and giving up inside postion to his man which led to the pass out front for the goal. I'm pretty sure if was in the Coyotes game plan to hit and pressure the Hawks smaller d-men as much as possible and it has been working for them.

I don't like anybody giving out dirty hits. I believe all these guys gunning for the head should get an automatic suspension that escalates for repeat offenders.

I'd prefer a clean skilled game which is why I liked for the most part Canucks - Hawks and Canucks - Wings, games. I don't like cheap shot hits and its not just cuz Daniel was hit like that. I'd like to have seen Lucic suspended for what he did to Miller or any number of guys like Weber who deliberately tried to drive Zetterberg's head into the glass. I thought Bertuzzi was a complete buffoon the way he went after Moore so many years ago.

He could have waited until the next season to exact some legal punishment instead of costing the Canucks a shot at the cup that year.

regards.

Agreed. And I was there that night, upper level, north (I believe) end

Yep I get it. Its a valid point and well though out. I simply dont agree with it is all.

Me too... playing the puck as a goalie vs throwing hits and I would agree. As much as I loved seeing Thomas level Sedin last year, he shouldn't be allowed to do it. I can't stand either of those two but in that instance, I would agree with Ogi, Thomas should have been fair game at that point...

So I just read D. Sedin is going to play tonight! Will be interesting to see how physical the Kings play him. If he takes a hit like Henrik took the other night from Brown, he's done, potentially long term.

As a Canuck fan, what do you think of him coming back now, likely a bit too early?

I'll state the obvious first. I'm not a Canuck fan.

It seems to me that if Daniel is coming back tonight, it's out of despiration for the team. I'd almost bet he isn't a 100% and is coming back early.

Going 1 on 3, as I said at the beginning of the series, Hawks would have to adjust to dump and chase, as much as they don't like it.

Kane has gone 1 on 3 or 1 on 4 all series. He beats 1-2 guys then almost always gets nullified. Looks great. But it's low percentage and usually results in odd-man breaks the other way.

Is anyone getting anything done at work today? I'm not!

Not at all.. I also am guilty of taking my anger out at the Cancuks fans..
