How a year flies. What a night that was.

Looks like Tom Wilson stock is on the rise and the Bruins aren't likely to get him at pick #24. Dman Dalton Thrower would be a sweet pick.

Meh, I'm not sold on Wilson, not sure he has the upside to be more than a plugger. I'd rather take a risk on a skill guy in the 1st round. Same with Thrower, tough kid, but not anything you couldn't find later in the draft. I'd rather trade up and gun for Kooekkooek.

I'm just the opposite. These guys have the intangibles and obviously enough skill to be considered 1st round NHL picks. They can be coached up. Its harder to coach aggression, competivness and toughness. Just look at Phil.

Can you imagine how good he'd be if he cared?

Maybe he's part Russian?

Lucic had those same intangibles and despite being memorial Cup MVP he still slid to the 50th overall pick. Is that common? Perhaps not, but I take attitude and desire over fancy skill with players at that age personally. At least when it comes to picks in the lower half of the 1st round and beyond.

I remember being on the phone with my best friend in the closing minutes. screaming"We just won the f@ck!ng cup" over and over and over again.....then I opend up that 40 somethin' year old bottle of Crown...I still have some left. I'll probably take a shot when I get home tonight.
