I don't think so, at all
Anisimov is a very good two way player who might get 25-30 goals..think smolinski
Duby is a character guy coming off an off year who can easily put in 20-25 and play both ends of the ice and be a leader
Erixon is supposed to be very good..and sather is already weak on d
+ the 1st
not a bad deal at all for everyone knowing he had to go and a very limited # of teams with real interest and the ability to take on nash's salary

5 pennies for a Nickel and 2 pennies back.
I like Dubinsky, however he's pretty much Umberger in my books. He's a good 2 way Center, nothing spectacular.
Anisimov - enigmatic russian depth scorer, maybe he has more room to grow but looks like an average 2nd liner at best to me.
Erixon - likely a top 4 D at some point, however this kid already forced his way out of Calgary because they stunk, in 2 years how likely is he to want to stick with Columbus?
1st - likely bottom quarter of the round ... certainly a decent asset but obviously a crapshoot.
And somehow Sather managed to screw a 3rd round pick back on top of it.
Hands down huge win for the Rags IMO. And I don't even think Nash is as good as he's touted.
I'll be interested to see how his #'s are this year.

rags have a lot of money tied up in a one line. but it is a sick one... fact they didn't give up krieder or stephan was pretty big for them. colombus has some depth at center...
Kind of reminds me of the Thornton deal. - bruinsbeer69
diff was bruins didnt shop Thornton around and they should have..nash had a short list and Howson made best of a crap situation,,,,i thought he did ok actually....
I like Nash...always have...but not worth the $...or length of contract...

Correct....most of the league didn't even know Joe was on the block....but the return of Sturm, Primeau, and Stuart was a similar haul to what the Jackets got for their "face of tfe franchise"
Spicoli will kill himself before the end of this deal - bruinsbeer69
Not gonna lie ... Don't think that re-signing Cloooooooooooooooooode was a top priority with a year left on his current deal... What happens if he poops the bed this season? Then we're on the hook for 3-5 more years
If anything, I would have waited until mid season ... Give Cloooooooooode something to play for.
Just because you won a CUP 2 seasons ago doesn't automatically earn you the right to be the coach for the next decade. Too early for this, IMO. And too long a term as well ... Anything over 2 years for a coach is too long, IMO. Gotta give them reason to stay hungry.

Me too. I think the Rag$ are almost worse off now, honestly. They did a mini-dismantle and added a 1st to acquire Nash and his bad contract. Hope it comes back to bite them in the ass.
