Hey G ... thinking about a vacation in Potatoville in February. Best value we've seen so far looks like the hotel at Croke Park ... decent area? Anything going on that time of year ... would be sweet to catch a Rugby match or whatever that game is they play that's kind of like field hockey with the weird axehandle looking things ... what is that game anyways?

Between him and Hall certainly seems to have set the bar. I still think PC will try to squeeze an extra contract out and go short term this one for a little less $ and long term / more $ in his last RFA/1st UFA year.
And hey ... at least we aren't discussing the merits of boning Anne Murray
Note: Would totally hit Natalie McMaster. - Double_A

I may be mexican now but I lived in that area a few years back. About 10 min cab ride to the mix and 30 min walk. February should seem tropic from Canada. Hurling is the game and it's probably the most manly sport in the world. Tough fckers. Haven't been there in years so I dunno. Apparently the talent level has taken a turn for the better because g-unit has some high standards

Damn ... going with the Mrs anyways ... although I still hold out hope for the elusive vacation 3 way
Sounds like a decent enough location. Any places to avoid or must see?
So I have been missing in action for a while. I had this crazy dream. I dreamed Joel Ward scored in game 7 to beat the Bruins and the Kings won the cup. Talk about something not happening in a million years. So what I miss?

I (frank)in hate Dublin. February's down time for the gaelic sports so hurling, which is my favorite here for sure, would not be in action. Rugby, second favorite, would be in full swing with the Rabo league and more importantly Heineken Cup. HC would be a tough ticket if Leinster or Munster happened to have a home game then. Croke Park I'm pretty sure will be vacant as the GAA does not allow rugby or soccer games in their hallowed ground, only hurling and football. Ridiculous really.
All honesty and impartiality I would always advise a tourist to go to the west. Or the north. Galway, Clare, Kerry, West Cork and maybe Cork city or Kinsale. What a drive, I sh!t you not. None as big as Dublin but all incredible scenery and more that Ireland feel that you probably have in your head.
Wherever you go will be fun. Expect 30's to 50's temps and most likely, you guessed it, soft rain and gray skies. Keep me posted.

Hey if I had to pick a random Irish or American chick out of a hat I'd go Irish every time. Horny, no hang-up gals with a MUCH better percentage chance of a great figure. Remember there isn't a (frank)in McDonalds, BK, Dunkin Donuts and DQ on every corner here.
That's the one thing I fully understand about the US now that I've been away a while and return for vaca -- the sheer gluttony of it. We are a fat, disgusting lot of people on the whole and we'd better turn it around and fast. I'd still sooner live there than anywhere else tho.

That's too bad about no Hurling ... will have to try to catch a Rugby match somewhere. 6 Nations is going on around that time too isn't it? We wound up booking for 7 nights at Croke Park, car rental included so we'll likely do lots of touring outside the city. Wanted to go down through Kilkenny (do the Smithwicks tour) down to Ring of Kerry then just hit a B&B for the night and go up and check out Galway.
Weather is no worry ... chances are it will be anywhere between -30 to -40 C here in mid Feb ... so it'll feel like Mexico to us.
How is crime and such in the city? We're pretty savvy travellers so I'm not overly worried about it but always good to know what you're walking into.

Depends on where in america but yeah, large part of the country is a bunch of disgusting over eaters and people with their hand out. I like the Irish chicks, when they are hot thy are hot as (frank).
