I started doing the same. Pay $30 a jersey now instead of $200+.
Not sure if Boston is doing the same but Habs had incentives for turning in fakes and actually had a policy forbidding entrance if you had a fake jersey.

Don't mock the bell centre......i've been to Boston to see quite a few games the past 4 years. It's like taking a step back in the evolutionary chain.

When we had balls we sucked. Early 2000's when we had a bunch of tough guys but just majorly sucked ass. Fun to watch though. I think we'll be a tougher team this year and have some tough guys who look like they can play in junior

but that's the thing, the owners thought they (frank)ed the players last time
mr twitchy was quite full of himself
as it turns out the owners (frank)ed themselves, again
so, now the players are supposed to go for this plan, since they got it so right last time?
most would agree that both sides need to give up something, but to trust the owners with taking away more, not making the leagues lower revenue teams stronger and making the same mistakes again makes no sense

i want the players to give back on the entry level deals and the age of rfa.ufa

from what i have seen at least the players put something out there to help the entire league, not just the teams that have already proven to be successful
if the poop teams are going to stay in poop markets and be mismanaged move them all to (frank)ing canada

i find it ironic (and silly) that GM's and agents/players keep signing contracts today and previous days while owners and NHLPA are fighting it out at the same time.....how does that make sense?

i cant recall the last lockout too much, but i dont think contract signing just prior to lockout was evident...maybe it was but i dont think so....

it makes perfect sense if you think about it
they say one thing and then they look after their teams best interest at the supposed expense of the league (if you go by their own rhetoric)
it's exactly what they always do, they can't help themselves
completely hypocritical but also completely expected
the only one that I wasn't sure if he would do it was JJ, and he did

Before the last lockout, Jacobs to Oconnell to have a firesale, so we didn't sign Rolston, ODonnel, Knuble....and we basically had turned into an expansion team

Then they all were like "we didn't expect so many 4 million a year players"

Blah blah f@cking Blah!

Jacobs is talking out of both sides of his mouth on this one. Wants the pay cut and limited years on contracts, then signs tyler to a 6 year deal.....good for us, but he's still the d!ch that we hated for 20 years

article from globe and mail...greed is there on both sides...I wasnt aware of the other sports are at 50/50 revenue split...just get to 50/50 here and drop the (frank)ing puck...

they also have to come to terms on how the hrr will be calculated
the owners wanted to change it to make that pool of money smaller, which means less for the players
none of what the owners have brought to the table strengthens the weaker teams..it will just be the same old poop
if the owners don't care about themselves, why should the players (and one of the reasons they do is who the (frank) wants to play on teams that have an unstable future)

hopefully it won't take 3 months for them to find common ground, they can't afford it
i'll watch when they come back as will most if not all here...we are not the ones the league needs to be concerned about
to me, i got my cup, if they take 4-6 months they are morons for doing so
i'm too busy with my own job to worry about these bumholes..get it done or they might be in for a rude surprise in regards to the casual fans who came on board in the past few years who will no longer be spending their $$ on the game

It'd be interesting to note which teams own their buildings and which teams rent. Majority own so the HRR is really the key. Also interesting is the new 10 year TV deal with NBC...

Also the local tv deals.

Its a very interesting concept that doesn't really translate into the other sports.

6 canadian teams with 2-3 national channels.

america has regional and local channels and different tv deals.

Not a fan of this contract ... Although I'm wondering if Chiarelli is locking all of these guys up in anticipation of some kind of salary rollback in the new CBA?

Could be a stroke of genius, but I'll wait to reserve judgment until everything with the new CBA is ironed out ... For now though, it's definitely a million dollars too rich per season, at least.

Yeah I thought 5 - 5.25 and it would be steep at that. Will be interesting to see how it all plays out. At the very least all the big pieces are under control and won't walk for nothing in the near future.

So ... did I miss Seguin on the list sent to Providence? Or is he not eligible? I see Eberle went to OKC ... don't know why Seguin wouldn't be in the same boat

Saw it may be a waivers issue but (frank) that, not really a fan of a 6M future of the franchise getting his ACL blown on a hit by a (frank)ing AHLer in a meaningless game in the first place. Skinner gets concussed, book it! Seguin can spend the lockout working out in a dark abandoned warehouse with his awkward sidekick CAREEEEEEEEEEEY. Watch out for the flying oil drums!
