The great Tommy Cross cut by Providence and sent to the ECHL today ... God, what a draft we had in 2007:

Zach Hamill
Tommy Cross
Denis Reul
Alain Goulet
Radim Ostrcil
Jordan Knackstedt

- JS2012

Wow that's rough. 2007 is one of my teams best.

Pacioretty
McDonaugh
Subban
Weber

2008 is where we really bombed

I think the fact that it turned into Gomez for you guys negates any goodness that came out of it.

Yeah, the whole Gomez thing pretty much wipes out a decade of progress in any kind

A decade of good? I am not familiar with those words under Gainey. If it was not for Trevor Timmens and his drafting we would be in an even bigger world of hate.

Gotta love Gainey. Ribeiro for Niniimaa and McDonaugh, Higgins for Gomez. Way to go.

Personally guys I just want to see the Habs back to competitive so that we can re-hash this rivalry. I absolutely despise the Bruins so can't wait to have those feelings return.

Only disappointment is that my buddy moved from Boston so I lost my season tickets

Yes, I also dispise your diving, whining, arrogant team and fanbase as well!
Can't wait. Habitards got a bit "tougher" this offseason so should be fun watching Thornton or Lucic or wolf man knock prusts teeth out.

Funny how Bruins got more diving with the likes of Marchand whereas we got tougher with prust, Bouillon and Armstrong.

Personally I hate most of both fan bases.

Of course you expect that. Just don't say it too loudly or some half wit fan make take this and launch a lawsuit if this becomes reality.

I hate most people so its all good. As long as its fun to talk poop and not get offended then I'm fine with any fanbase and you've been pretty cool if I remember. Not sure boulion cubes or Armstrong classify as tough though an Marchand is a top player and yeah he needs to clean up some of the antics but he's hardly a top diver.

Can't wait. Habs are definitely bigger and more scrappy and the rivalry should be more intense.

Armstrong is not fighter tough but he plays a solid aggressive in your face style, an element we've been lacking on the 4th line. Bouillon is getting on in years and is sill only 5'8 , but he hits like a ton of bricks and will drop the gloves. He's challenged Lucic a few times. Would get destroyed but he'd step in regardless.

Personally I don't take anything personally on these forums unless it goes to a personal attack.

Otherweise I will give and take.

On a side note what I am especially looking forward to is seeing if our picks like Greg pateryn, Darren Detz, Dalton Thrower and Jarred Tinordi can make the jump. They are all D-men who play extremely physical and drop the gloves with liberties.

I hate Armstrong and after his collasal failure with the leafs I don't expect that much physicality from him, more 3rd line and short handed "responsible" play. Moen is tough.

Marchand needs to understand that he has the tools to be effective without being a complete douchebag.

What I meant was more on the forecheck. The past 5 years we've seen guys like Streit, Weber, Darche, Engqvist, Palushaj, instead of bigger bodies who actually forecheck and hit.

What excites me, like most fans up here is that our 4th line finally is starting to look like a 4th line instead of a mishmash of people. We have big bodies in Moen, Eller, Armstrong, Prust, White and maybe Blunden or Nokelainen for those 6 positions which is encouraging,.
