yes, they both played well...Hamilton hasnt got as many points as i would have thought, but has impressed me with his defensive play..

Trotman far and away the best looking prospect in that group ... Defense first kind of defenseman, but has a great knack for getting the puck to the net ... And it's landed him a pile of assists so far this season.

Warsovsky is just too small, and he plays small.

Cross looks ok ... Nothing flashy. Had a rough game last Friday, though. Seems like he still needs to get comfortable at the AHL level to be more effective.

Bartkowski has plateaued at very least ... Maybe even peaked. Time for a change-of-scenery deal where we get someone else's underachiever.

Krug strikes me as very average at the AHL level right now. Being smaller is stature doesn't help that any ...

-----------------------

Aside from Dougie, there's a few longshots (Krug, Trotman, Miller, maybe Cross) ... But that's pretty much it on D.

Don't know much about the Chudinov guy playing in Russia, but from all accounts he seems pretty highly touted.

just spent some time looking at AHL stats...surprised that Chris Bourque leading the team in scoring...what is going with Caron? 6 goals/2 assists in 30 games and is a minus 6...

What;s going on with him?

We missed. That's what's going on with him. Pissed away a 1st rounder on him.

Time to trade him for another teams miss and see if a change of scenery is good for each player

well...there are other options beside him thats for sure...he never did much for me; seemed slow and has been given lots of chances to make a mark...Im guessing CJ has been watching him this year and cant be impressed...I rarely watch AHL, but is Bourque an option??

Canada did not show up and were flat, but Gibson made the saves he had to...Subban had no chance on first 2 goals...on the brightside, I get to sleep in tomorrow morning...

..

the whole team was flat...defense gave the puck today; forwards missed assignments on covering USA defenseman...lots of Canadians were not a fan of Subban from the start of the tourney as he didnt have a good camp and has been kinda average in the CHL lately, but he wasnt the reason they lost today...

average the first 2 games...then real good against USA (game MVP) and Russia..then today and I couldnt really blame him on first 2 goals ...3rd goal was a good shot...4th was weakish...and then pulled..

This is the most I have watched him, so Im really not sure what to think..awkward type goalie; almost tim thomas type in the style (unconventional), but made a few jaw dropping saves;some hard saves look easy...would need some AHL time for sure....will see i suppose...

I like Gibson (USA goalie); technically strong...composed...

I think Subban got screened on the 3rd goal, too. This game was not his fault. The first goal looked like half the players on the ice were in front of him. Great patience by McCabe to get that through

We were getting to the loose pucks early and played a very intelligent game. Getting the lead early was key. I don't think Canada expected it, and then the quicksand mentality happened to them.

Caron has been unnoticible all season. That's good if you're a defenceman, but not so good if you're a top-tier forward prospect chosen in the 1st round

As for Bourque ... If it were me personally, I'd give him a shot at Caron's job in Boston. But at 5'8", 180 ... Not really "thick" enough for a 3rd line role in Clooooode and Peter's eye. Still, I'd give him a go at it ... He's much more offensive minded than Caron and with the Bruins rolling 3 lines capable of putting the puck in the net, he seems like the better option to me.

Spooner is seasoning well in Providence ... He's going to be a Savvy-type I have a feeling. I'd give him at least 1 full season in the AHL to get his d!ck wet ... No need to rush him. He's progressing just fine.

The only other guy who could challenge Caron's spot is Tardif, who (for what it's worth) is having a great season ...

I'm guessing Clooooooooooode goes with Caron

So nobody here thinks that Daryl Kats looks like Rob Schneider????

So it's looking like Tardiff/Bourque/Caron duking it out for the last 2 forward roster spots (including 1 in the press box)?

Wonder if any of the young guys might get a look ... Spooner, Koko, Sauve? Would be cool if Camara got a camp invite based on his play so far this season. Given it'll be a short one I doubt it though.

I forgot who was even signed. Looks like a D position and 3rd line forward though for sure.

I thought Koko looked pretty good in the juniors...good speed...not shy about the rough stuff ( he was game mvp today against sweden)...I was hoping more from Camara in the tourney; hard hitter, but didnt see much offensively....

holy (frank)...are we actually talking hockey here??
