i don't think people realized the full scope of of his bumholeness when he was in net winning games.

TImmay is an interesting story. Very underdog to get in. Owes O'Connell for the second contract and the shot. The third contract is what gave him the life cushion to do what he wants to do. Rask was supposed to be the guy but Timmay came in and played too well to sit and we got a cup out of it because he was so locked in. There was and obviously is a lot of poop that was going down behind the scenes. He was probably being shopped around big time before the cup run and obviously this spring/summer.

Sure ... but the after the fact pettiness is garbage. It certainly sounds like he wasn't as great a guy and team mate as I always assumed he was ... but in the grand scheme of things ... I really don't care. The guy played his heart and soul out for the team and that's really all I (and therefore think everyone else should ) care about.

it's a story man. one year after wining the cup he goes awol while hollering his political agenda to whomever would listen. haggs and anyone else has a right and an obligation to cover that story to the fullest.

i bet if TT went all "gays are awesome", "raise taxes on the rich", "free abortions" he'd get a lot more criticism around here.

i mean i'm all for what he did for the team. who would not be? he just took a huge steaming dump on his legacy in my opinion.

It was a story, but it wasn't exactly handled by pro journalists without bias, hell most guys didn't even feign impartiality or lack of personal agendas/politics. And now, its over and done with ... TT has been in the cone of silence for 6 months.

I get that his image is tarnished in the eyes of some. And I know think it's a distinct possibility that the guy was a bit of a turd, but in all honesty it doesn't make an ounce of difference to me. Somehow I doubt he's the only one in that locker room, much less the league that's a d-bag or has wacko political beliefs.
