arnott costs nothing
he's old but can still play
rotate him
and he can't hurt the pp
come playoff time you can't have enough centers
need to sign too many guys next year to even think about doan
rask

Didn't Arnott fail a physical to join NYR or Devils earlier this season, thus signalling the end of the road? Perhaps Bruins' standards are lower? Rask is priority 1. |

They've got the cap space right now ... Wouldn't want to see anyone acquired with a contract extending past this season though. Horton, Greenpeace, Borat, and Rask are all up for new contracts, assuming Chiarelli wants them all to stay.
Been impressed with the call ups, to be honest ... None of them have been bad and the team just keeps finding ways to win.

agreed
i think the 4th line has been fine but having one of them rotate with a guy like arnott is a good idea. if a guy like bourque on the 3rd or 4th line gets platooned so be it |

MacD and Tardif in particular have looked like solid muckers. Spooners obviously miscast as a 4th line C but I thought they looked really solid in limited minutes. |

with ample cap space available i seriously doubt they are going to leave it to kids come playoff time when they don't have to
if they have the chance to pick up a solid depth guy, they will, and should
someone in the arnott mold is perfect
can take faceoffs, has leadership, good on the pp, doesn't have to play 15 minutes a night to be effective
someone who knows the role and accepts it
you can't have too many guys who can take an important draw in a big spot when it counts
when we won the cup their were times when bergy was out there with kelly and peverley...all 3 are better than most in the dot
poop like that wins games |

I'd be ok with Arnott, provided that his knee is good to go. We don't need a gimp. Maybe that was the real reason the Rags dumped him afterall ... We'll never know.
Given the injury status and overall thickness of Arnott, you gotta believe Chiarelli has interest. That semi in you boxers every morning when you wake up, Pete? ... Yeah, you were dreaming about Arnott walking into your office on crutches again |

"Now that Tim Thomas has been traded, the Boston Bruins appear willing to lock up goaltender Tuukka Rask to a long-term deal.
According to an online report, Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli will look to sign the 26-year-old to an extension during the lockout shortened season. The timing of his comments have nothing to do with the Thomas trade, or Rask's performance against the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday night.
"Breaching my own policy [of not discussing contracts], we will bring up talks with Tuukka at some point in this season, in hoping to extend him," Chiarelli told csnne.com. "I know the perception looks like one follows the other and I was waiting to pull the trigger based on a great game by Tuukka. We've been pretty open with Tuukka and Tim as far as when we would see them ending up, I call it a succession plan."
Rask, who will become an restricted free agent at the end of the season, is currently on a one-year, $3.5 million deal.
He's posted a 6-1-1 record thus far in 2013 and has a 1.96 goals against average. He has posted a 53-36-12 in 110 career games with the Bruins.
Rask was originally selected in the first round (21st overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Bruins acquired him via trade prior to the 2006-07 season."

Funny. Whenever I see anything related to womens golf it reminds me of the time I heard Natalie Gulbis take a sh!t
True story. I was in the room next to her at work and she dropped a bomb like when the girls had food poisoning in "Brides Maids"
