Huge (frank)ing balls.
For the record, Neil meant to do something right there. Sorta like when Groin nonchalantly or "incidentally" hit Halpern in game 7. Was just floating around and could easily have avoided this outcome. Kelly plays the puck with his skate and then quickly braces himself for the extended knee Neil offered while coasting. Karma is indeed a female dog.

Neil and kelly are best friends. Train together in the off-season. Do you really think it was Neil's intention to hurt him?
Oh come on ... he meant to hit him but there is zero evidence that he tried to get knee there. Starting to sound like a bunch of Habs fans up in here. - Double_A
Zero evidence, no. But it's Neil, who seems to have a knack for making dirty sh!t look innocent. Not saying this is one of those times, but I don't doubt it either. He's a dirtbag either way.
Z broke Pacioretty's neck ("allegedly"), you think he meant to do it?
Injuries happen ... this isn't (frank)ing baskteball. - Double_A
Not whining suspension here Double. Please do not misunderstand or make no mistake or choose whatever catchphrase you want here: shots like Neil's on Boychuck, Ferrence on Halpern, Chara on Pacioretty, Yemelin on Seguin and Neil's on Kelly should be swiftly followed by unequivocal on-ice reaction by the team, sorta like Chara dropping them with Yemelin or Wiercoch doing the same with Wolf the other day. Should be auto(frank)ingmatic. I don't care if the referees' arm is up or if Shanahan is paying any attention.
I'm still scratching my head that this went down without strong B's reaction:

Fair enough ... that's more issue with B's than Neil. Beatdown first ask questions later is fine by me but to me that didn't look questionable on TV and probably looked even more like an incidental collision on the ice hence the lack of reaction.
Stafford one definitely strange both with non-call and non-reaction.

how stafford was never addressed is of concern. gotta protect the freshman here.
thornton doesn't need to "ask" neil about the hit. he needs to shed the gloves and go.
friggin instigator rule is so stupid and doesn't let the players police the game.
hence the montreal / vancouver and east vancouver (buffalo) style of play in the league - salvadorsanchez
Yep, if not him then Lucic or Chara or Campbell or Groinola (when's the last time this guy had a burr in his saddle?) or Wolf or Boychuk or Seidenberg or....
Soderberg suspended 4 games for crosschecking a guy in the throat on Tuesday
His team is cooked without him ... They will be bounced in the 1st round and the Swede will be donning a Spoked-B, here to save the 3rd line, within a couple weeks

Was doing a great job too leading his team to a 0-6 playoff game thumping. 3rd line try with Caron and Peverley but with packed bags still tied to a ready-to-depart unicorn.

Agreed.
Guy has proven exactly jack (frank)ing squat in the NHL, where it counts ...
Curious to see him play, but honestly not expecting anything. Chris Bourque is a damn superstar in the AHL ... Look how that worked for him in the NHL
"Coach said he liked the intensity & work ethic today in practice; said he likes to see that, especially heading into this weekend's games. But Coach also noted that the situation's no different from other teams; said they're happy w/record, no reason to get down on themselves."

Games in hand dont mean sh!t if we keep losing them
This was the part of the schedule where it was time for the well rested Bruins to put up or shut up.
3rd line, a D that's a little off, top line going into witness protection for games at a time, and mental mistakes by key members are killing this team right now.
