Epic Guy Smiley / Murphy playoff twitter rivalry:

Jimmy Murphy ‏@MurphysLaw74 1h
I stand by my comments on Chara. I don't believe he's a good captain. Hall of fame player? Yes. But Bergeron better leader as proven tonight

adater ‏@adater 1h
@MurphysLaw74 dude, seriously? Chara's not a good captain?

Jimmy Murphy ‏@MurphysLaw74 1h
@adater yes. Bergeron is true captain of that team. Lots I know I can't write but trust me that is the case.

Toady86Nj ‏@Toady86Nj 38m
.@MurphysLaw74 @adater if you can't write about then why post it. Acting like a passive aggressive 13 year old girl

Jimmy Murphy ‏@MurphysLaw74 4h
Can I retract Julien tweet? Lol! Wow!

Toady86Nj ‏@Toady86Nj 40m
.@MurphysLaw74 over the past two years you have really turned into a mini kpd. That is not a compliment.

Jimmy Murphy ‏@MurphysLaw74 36m
@Toady86Nj @adater don't follow if ya don't like and I take being compared to HOF writer as a compliment. thanks.

Toady86Nj ‏@Toady86Nj 35m
@MurphysLaw74 you were unfollowed. Someone re tweeted the garbage so I looked. Slainte

Jimmy Murphy ‏@MurphysLaw74 34m
@Toady86Nj @adater too bad for you

Toady86Nj ‏@Toady86Nj 32m
@MurphysLaw74 @adater "I know something you don't but I'm not going to say what it is." Just like kpd, stir up needless drama.

His skill set is not suited for the bottom lines ... Expect him to be a 2nd liner in the NHL, possibly even working his way up to the 1st line.

I could see him pushing for a spot with the big club as early as next season ...

Kid's gonna turn heads.

I will difer to Lady Cleo on that one, but I'd expect him to be more of a 60ish kind of guy with a higher ceiling if he's put in the right situations ....

Think Marc Savard ...

Sounds about right. Most peg his ceiling as high end 2nd liner/average or low end 1st liner. So best case you're probably looking at 60-70, more likely in that 50ish range with lots of PP time.

A guy like Spooner can help turn the powerplay around. He's a crafty, Savard-like setup man ... Something we've been missing, well, since Savard.

He'll bring a new dynamic to the forwards on the PP, just like Krug has brought to the blueline in his limited showings ...

The Montreal Candiens announced on Twitter that Alexei Emelin underwent reconstructive surgery to repair the ACL and MCL his left knee on Tuesday.

His recovery is estimated to take about six months.

Emelin was injured in the Canadiens 2-1 victory over Boston on April 6 when he put a check on Bruins winger Milan Lucic and bounced back hard onto the ice. He missed the rest of the season.

Looked at NHL numbers......3.375 a year for Peverly for 2 more years

Kelly is somewhere in that ballpark for 3 more years

Based on this years playoffs, what do you guys think about trading them away or a compliance buyout based on the new CBA where it doesnt hit us in the cap? 3rd line has been brutal all season.

Next years team could be something like this-if we let Horton's 5 million walk(might be gone a la Ryder), and Jagrs history in a hand-powered wheelchair right behind him, and Ference too since the kids are ready to play on the back end

a trade target I'd like is pending 2013-2014 UFA Brian Boyle from the Rangers. He had a solid series, and his size up front would help on our pp. and I still have my hard-on for current UFA Peter Mueller, who was really good with Florida this year.

Lucic Krejci Seguin
Rat Bergy Mueller
Soderberg Boyle Dog
Paille Campbell Thornton

Chara Seidenberg
Krug Boychuk
Bart Wolf
Dougie Redden(For cap purposes)

With Krug, I no longer wish to take on Yandles salary and loss of assets to PHX

I think Pevs is gone for sure. My gut says CK stays around. Boyle is a b!tch, no thanks. Mueller, meh depends on the price I suppose. Kind of strikes me as a Pouliot-esque signing.

Dougie in the line-up, Bart #7, Redden adios, unless Quaider or Boychuk get moved.
