I think Pevs is gone for sure. My gut says CK stays around. Boyle is a b!tch, no thanks. Mueller, meh depends on the price I suppose. Kind of strikes me as a Pouliot-esque signing.

Dougie in the line-up, Bart #7, Redden adios, unless Quaider or Boychuk get moved.

Keep Johnny B and Wolf. I like Boyle and his size. Mueller has overcome the concussion issue and if Pev and CK stay, would be the best thing on that line since Ryders playoff run.

Might give CK a pass due to lockout and any injury issues we don't know about that he may be playing through.

Prior to the playoffs I would have been on board with trading 55 for a good return if it was needed for cap purposes. But he's definitely showing why he got that contract. Problem is I think Krug, Bart and Dougie have all earned NHL jobs for next season. Nice problem to have.

I'd be ok with Mueller on the cheap, he's looking like he's a 30-40 point guy, no idea what his 2 way games like though. Never really paid attention. I'd rather give a kid like Spooner a shot. Kelly - Soderberg - Spoons?

Boyle is big, but he isn't particularly skilled or tough. Definitely wouldn't give up assets for him.

Unless it's Peverly. Come on, speedy cup winner with a contract more than 1 year......deal with it!!!

I think the B's are set up pretty nicely next year.

Assets that could be on the move include:
Peverly (*has 15 team or 8 team ntc)
Bartkowski
Caron
Dog
Koko

Lucic Krecji Seguin
Marchand Bergy peverly/trade/ufa
Spooner Soderberg Kelly
Merlot
Dog

Chara Boychuck
Seids Douglas
Krug Wolf
Bart (if he's not traded)

tuukka
borat or svedberg or UFA

He hasn't had a good year....followed by a crappy playoffs.

He's not living up to his contract.

I think he's playing hurt. If he is, then fix him, and give him another shot next season

I'm not opposed to getting rid of anyone who doesn't step it up in the playoffs ...

Regular season slacking gets a mulligan with a strong playoff performance.

Regular season slacking and poor playoff performance needs to be addressed.

Kelly and Peverley are both the latter. Sounds funny, because I like them both and know what they are capable of, but I hope they are both injured so there is an excuse for this. If they're not, it's tough to justify tying up 6.5 million dollars for that kind of worthlessness this season (and playoffs).

In a perfect world, the Rag$ buy out Richards, we unload Peverley and Kelly and use some of that $ to sign Richards

Thats the only thing that makes sense. Both are good players. Seem like good workers. Not sure why they can't play well unless Ryder or Poo are in the line up.

you will miss kelly when he is gone, promise
no, he hasn't had a great offensive year
he still wins a ton of faceoffs and is a very important player to this team
he is exactly the type of player this team is about..no way i see chia moving him

peverley, who I like...he is much more expendable..and he has been excellent in the dot as well...not enough to warrant his salary...

All Kelly is giving you at this point is a good faceoff %. I'm not saying it's not important, but it's not enough.

The revolving door which is the wing spot on the 3rd line is no longer the area of concern. All fingers pointed to Chris Bourque early on. But then you try every other swingin d!ck, including Jagr and Seguin, and it's still not working? WTF is that about?

you don't get rid of a very good all around player off of one bad offensive year
at least I don't

peverley's skill set is far more easily replaced, if he isn't scoring 20 goals then he isn't earning his money
it's nice when kelly does, it doesn't define the player he is though, not even close

I like kelly. I agree that he's campbell with more offensive touch and less likely to get beat up. These guys are ultimate pros and teammates.

Peverly may have peaked, I dunno but he does have value. I can see someone jumping on him if he's available. B's in a good place with spooner, camara, koko, knight, camper and some of these other guys that might make the jump

Might be time to package a guy or 2 and get a piece that matters for the now. Z is getting older. Window is closing.

Tough to do with cap going down. Doubt we'll see any major adds and probably more than a couple vets out the door. IMO only 1 of Kelly/Pevs/Horton is in the lineup next year.

Also think it could be tough to get value for Pevs in the trade market with cap going down. Gotta think there will be few buyers and lots of teams riding out the amnesty period to see whose available for free.

Wonder what he'll haul in in UFA. If he goes unsigned for a while and would take low $, I say we give him all the cods he can chuck and bring him back.

Caps going down, and we have kids knocking on the door.

I wouldnt mind that, honestly, but I'm not sure how any UFA's can come to town given who we have locked up. It's almost a certainty that Ference and Horton are gone.....but after these playoffs, how can we let that happen? Both have been fantastic on, and it seems, off the ice
