nothing can be more evident by looking at the scoring of the Flyers-Penguins series and realizing that Lundqvist plays those teams 6 times a piece and still finished with a GAA of 1.97.

If you are someone who trumpets how wonderful and unstoppable Malkin was this season, then you can't seriously even consider anyone else for the Vezina other than Lundqvist.

Hank Plays in the thougher conference in the toughest dvision in the NHL.

While hank plays the likes of the pens and flyers (6 times a year) quick plays against the bottom feeders like the ducks and blue jackets.

if quick wins the vezina then lundqvist should win the hart. lets just look at lunqvist's 2010-2011 season.
gp:68 wins:38 loses:27 OT:5 SO:11 .923 2.28

not one person in the hockey world mentioned the veina for lundqvist in 2010-2011

here is a look a qucik's season this year.

if lundqvist stats in 2010 didn't earn him a vezina, quick's stats this year don't earn him one. end of story.

Exactly, I think Lundqvist should win, but because he was the best this year, not because he deserves "respect" from the league, like Garth said.

the Vezina is the only award voted on by the 30 general managers of the league.

I think the thinking is that they don't always just obsess over stats when voting for the Vezina, but sometimes let career enter their thinking.

Not to really be picky with your loose assessment, but the Jax aren't in the division. you could make the argument that Toronto is in NYR's conference, and NYI is a bottom feeder in their division. But that's not why I'm responding. They play the Sharks, Canucks, along with Anaheim and Phoenix. Those two are also high output teams. Yes, Philly and Pitt are tops. But to say Hank deserves all the credit because he faces tougher competition is extremely flawed.

Its not competition we are talking about we are talking about high scoring teams. You wanna talk Canucks? lundqvist went into Vancouver and had a 40 save shutout

4 teams in the atlantic finished with 102 points or more, Lundqvist played against 3 of them. The highest point total in the pacific was phoenix with 97.

Lundquist should and will win the Vezina, nothing against Quick. If Quick goes the way his career is currently going, he will no doubt win the Vezina in the future as well.

Look, I don't really give a damn about either of them. But Quick deserves recognition. Guy had a ton of shut outs and single handedly delivered LA to the playoffs. It's easy to think NY has a better team. And a much higher scoring team.
