Then we need to bring Ennis...potentially Kaleta back.
Do we resign Sulzer.
Its too tight - HotSauceBlueChs
Yes on Kaleta yes on Sulzer and trade Stafford or Roy and resign Ennis |

It's just one way to get "around" cap restraints. It's not absolutely necessary. Like I said, the point is that if they really want Parise here, they can make it happen and still stay within the cap. - buffalofan19
Just because you can squeeze a player into the roster doesn't make it a good hockey move.
Spread the wealth.
Make the team better at multiple positions. |

Yes but not even Pegs could do this - buffalo 1

ehrhoff's hit is a very reasonable $4m |

you're approaching milbury stupidity - b0s0o1
God I hate that guy ! Not fond of the little bald headed guy who sits between the benches ,askes stupid questions then tell the guys to have fun on the ice tonight.Someones going to punch that little dweeb one of these days. |

that too... sekera's contract is set up to make him very attractive at the deadline.. If McNabb is owning himself and someone else is ready i could see them having room to move them both |

about the only reason to keep sekera around would be his puck-moving abilities...
he does a great job of moving the puck out of pressure in his own zone...
does that make up for the fact that he turns the puck over too many times in the offensive zone? no
or the fact that his errant shots end up in an odd-man rush headed back? no |

Doing a quick scan of the league Buffalo is only 1 of 3 teams who do not have a previous Cup winner on the roster.
Calgary and Toronto are the other two. Depending on if you want count Columbus and Mike Comodore (he was bought out).
Edit: Check that, Tanguay on Calgary has won a Cup. |

Have you seen this kid play lately. He has everything you want in a future captian and impact player not named Crosby or Ovetchkin.Even the guys calling the series put him in one of the top 3 players playing the game. |

We have Pommer,Foligno we have pommer foligno humm oh vanek ok lets start over - buffalo 1
Foligno is far from proven. I like him and I think what he brings is sorely lacking on this team, but lets remember he hasnt even played a full season as a Sabre. Vanek and Pominville are very good players to have but I dont think either is a star in the league. All I'm saying is if you get a chance to get the number 1 overall pick and youre giving up a few pretty good prospects to get him then I have no problem taking that risk.

no prob.. at this point i don't think vanek is going to be a huge positive in any trade due to his cap hit.. and Miller well why would they make that move when they have all that money invested in Bryz |

I dont believe he ever won. He was with the Lightning for 2 years and then left them via free agency to the Mighty Ducks in the 2003-2004 season, oooops. |
