he's been on a slow development curve...not that he sux or anything like that, it's just, in ohio he was #2 up until last season
a move to the echl for more development before the ahl would be advantageous - b0s0o1
i understand where you are coming from this... i just don't think the sabres feel that Leggio really is going to ever be an NHL goalie.. |

off topic:
the avengers in 3-d was awesome
bringing it back home, the nhl network had the flyers as avengers characters at the beginning of the devils series |

Hi. Why didn't we resign Zubrus when we had the chance? He wanted to stay here. Oh that's right, we were good enough. - sippyd
darcy low balled him and thus it became an easy decision to go elsewhere |

i will go with
Miller/enroth
amerks: lieuwen/Knapp
ECHL or some other teams system: leggio
as much of a great story the kid has been i just dont think the sabres can waste a spot of development for either Knapp or Lieuwen. Unless they start Knapp in the ECHL give him a few games to see how he adjusts then bring him up and cut Leggio.. just don't see it happening though - SabresFaninIndiana
Leggio is an UFA don't see him staying here, his college coach believes he belongs in the NHL and I am sure he does too, why resign here with no chance of getting a chance at the NHL? |

leggio has a great, never quit attitude...he's been undervalued wherever he's played and has greatly exceeded expectations...
did a piece on him a while back...
i like the kid, whether he's an nhl back-up or for this season at least, the amerks starter |

i agree with your statements on him
i just dont think he is going to re-sign with buffalo.. Unless the sabres move enroth he has to know that his chances with Buffalo are very slim.. It might not be the Sabres decision it might be his.. |

Yotes vs NJ in SC Finals = NBC nightmare - Purple Eagle
It's going to be Rangers and Kings. Rangers will eventually beat Washington and have the ability to lull a team like the Devils to sleep. Kings beat the Coyotes. |

I think Enroth is a ton better...killing it for sweden in the worlds right now |

I think he can be a goalie that splits time 50/50 (or 60/40) as the starter but i do not think he can be a full time goalie that plays night in and night out like Miller does... When he started playing all the games with miller out he got worn down.. but then again that could have been because of the skating excrement in front of him |

I don't recall much of a desire by anyone to keep him.
A six year contract with his output was pretty attractive to him...and I don't blame him for taking it.
30 pts in 79 games this year. Nothing spectacular.
He was a marginal player here and there was just not enough for anyone in this organization to want to sign him to anything comparable.

5 hole.too small.overachiever, nothing exciting, instincts.I dont get hung up on the numbers if so Id be a Miller fan most the seasons hes played here. |

aside from quick and hank, are there any goalies right now that do not run out of gas and can play 70 games and still be strong in the playoffs?

Rangers have way too many struggles.
IF* they get by WSH, I see NJ taking it in 6. NJ's D will stifle the Rags top lines just like they are doing to PHI.

the rags have a better defense than philly...the biggest problem with the fly-boys right now is that new jersey's forecheck is wreaking havoc in the flyers end and they're controlling the puck most of the time |

Dissagree on the Rangers if they get passed the Caps.Imo the Flyers are the most talented most skilled team still playing and The Devils and the coaching staff are slamming the door shut at will on them.I dont belive any team in the East can beat them in 7 right now. |

Rangers aren't built on offense and never were. Their repuation, as put by an opponent earlier this year is that "all they ever do is block shots". They're not going to try to get into a shootout with New Jersey. It's going to be a more "boring" series than Philadelphia. The Rangers have the ability to lock it down. The Flyers don't. |
