6 second out of 5 games...lol...
I blame your education system for not instilling the importance of reading comprehension.
Go back read my posts...I never said it was boring, I said it holds no attraction to me. I am just not interested in that series, nor those two teams. |

I think the Capitals-Rangers series has been really entertaining.
Though not half as entertaining as Rangers fans reacting to Cloutier's blogs. |

I don't. It's a bad draft year. Not much depth. Omark for a 4th makes sense for both parties involved. Considering the weak draft class, it could be a 3rd if two or more teams are interested. - Maxbone
I've read on several other blogs, sites (the networks) that Omark's worth is around a 5th rounder. If you can get a 4th for him you are laughing and take it asap. |

Really who cares... In all honesty we had no room for him to excel, he did not follow the coaching instructions on the defensive aspect- but alot of fans still like the kid myself included... I wish him the best and hope he gets an honest shot somewhere because I think he will be a good player for his shootout potential alone... |

I really don't expect us to get anything from Omark except bad publicity. I often envy Red Wings fans... their organization has integrity and class. Ours.... well, sometimes I have to hold my nose to be an Oilers fan. |

They also have a fanbase that doesn't go ape poop when a player gets sent back to their farm team or if a guy that did well in a lessor league doesn't get an instant shot at the NHL level. |

You don't understand though - Either PRV is gifted 18 minutes of top 6 time no question next season, or he's a bust and we should trade him for spare parts.
If you don't believe in the extremes you're not a true Oilers fan. |

Yeah, Detroit fans can be infuriatingly smug, but that's about my only knock on them.
I personally didn't think it was gonna be all sunshine and red carpets for Omark, nor do I think it should have been. I do, however, think that management had soured on him maybe as early as the end of last season.
When you have a prospect with upside, work hard to develop said prospect until either they join the NHL squad or it becomes clear that there is nowhere in the NHL squad for them to play.
Then, immediately begin looking to trade that prospect for a similar one from another team... most teams have good pedigree kids who just haven't worked out, and sometimes a second chance and change of scenery sparks those kids. This is what smart managers... hell, this is what people who win at freaking NHL 12 do!
Imagine if we had swapped Omark for a similar high-risk high-reward prospect... or, really, for a bag of freaking chips. A)chips are yummy, and B)keeping chips in the cupboard doesn't make you look like a moron and/or a jerk. |

Yeah, they incite riots in the street and cost millions in damages.
Wait, wrong topic. |

I could care less really too and also hopes he does well.
Just the fact, I read here and some other comments, that we should expect a mid round pick for him is a joke- I'd be very very very surprised anyone would give up a 3rd rounder for him. |

Unless he show he is able to bounce back from this down season, I would suggest he starts in OKC, instead of sticking him on 3rd or 4th line, he will get more playing time and experience in OKC.

Omark will most likely be an add-on to a bigger piece for a trade to make a big splash. |

Agree. No reason to rush him. If he had played the entire season in OKC with his AHL pace this year, he'd have been the leading scorer. Hartikainen would have been second.
There confidence could go through the roof playing on a line together with Josh Green. Keep them both down! |

Thought today: No Carle, No Suter, No Dennis Wideman
How about a defenseman that plays 2-3 minutes of PK a night, never takes stupid penalties, would be among our leaders in hits and blocked shots, and has a bomb from the point which he utlizes on the PP with great success. He's under 30 and we could have him for perhaps less than 2/3 what we'd pay for Carle or Wideman.
Jason Garrison, my friends. |
