Richard. Honest question. Do you not think Bettman is licking his fingers right now? LA, Phoenix, New York (likely) and New Jersey (likely)

It seems to me he has the best of all worlds. The pathetic Coyotes Franchise going deep. Hollywood which gives him celebs like Tom Hanks, Beckham and more showing up Which I would assume makes the average fan A much bigger fan. New york..........The centre of the US universe (much like Canadas T.O) and New Jersey, Home fo the Syhittiest television show on earth and empty seats which may actually fill up from success.

Seams to me like Gary Rattman is licking his chops.

Although from a spectator point of view. Im quite disappointed.

I think it's important to note that MacT is under contract with the Canucks.

Quick scares me more than him. I read a quote earlier today that read "Some guys just play better in smaller markets". I totally agree, Smith excels in a market where he has zero expectations much like Brys did one year before.

Sure Smith played in Tampa. But they have a cup, And also have one of the best players on earth, I think hes grown significantly in his roll as a #1 goalie on a small market team.

Which let be honest, Had zero expectations at the beginning of this season.

Bettman is a goof. I don't think he's ever watched a hockey game from start to finish. An LA/NYR Stanley Cup Finals is an ultimate for promoting the game south of the Canadian border. If a real team can't win the cup, I'm almost as happy seeing the game get tons of exposure in the US.

He's coaching in the minors, and he's a well respected guy. If an NHL team came calling, the Canucks would be jerks not to let him take an opportunity.

Stauffer as you might know talked about him today, so he might just be on the oilers radar

Yes to Stewart from STL. STL fans wants a pick for his RFA status, but truly believes he will get another shot under Hitchcock next season being resigned in this offseason. Otherwise he may get the same $$$ as this season and probably traded as a add-on piece for a bigger splash player. I would suggest not to trade MPS, but at some point EDM got to pay to play. I would suggest starting MPS, Teemu, and Lander in OKC as call ups for the injuries of next season. Otherwise, MPS starts on second line with Gagner. Let Smyth and Petrell go. Try to sign gritty forward like Moen for 3rd line LW, not sure about Vande Velde for 4C, probably just starts in OKC too unless injuries in EDM. Trade Belanger and sign a guy like Konopka as 4C and Adam Hall as 4th line RW. Curious to see is there a buyout on new CBA. Maybe bye bye Horcoff and try to sign Gaustad or McClement as 3C.

Linus Omark - I think the Oilers will qualify him just to prove a point. He'll be dealt, likely at the draft for a middle pick (3rd or 4th rounder?). Oilers could just be jerks, qualify him, and then make no attempt to deal him or re-sign him. Force him to play in the KHL, or where he's really good...on youtube.

maybe its hemsky + for stewart... Moen/Horcoff/Jones as the 3rd line. I'd like that 4th line but i have a fealing that Konopka will be resigned. Tootoo would look good on the RW. Can't Adam Hall play center as well?

none taken. But I think both of our goalies played just fine. Our problem was the fact that our Offense was Anemic. Regardless. Your boys deserve to be where they are.

Apperantly the term "Flip the Switch" has some truth to it.

Agree 100%

And on top of that. Anyone who throws down their dumbass conspiracy theories need to be banned not only from this site but from watching hockey alltogether.

This is the way the cookie crumbled. Get used to it all your bitter bastards.
