IMO, if we don't sign or trade for a PF, we'll be in the exact same position next year....getting pushed around on a nightly basis.

That's an incredible impact Penner must have. To play 15 minutes and yet still intimidate the other team for the other 45 minutes.

Two options (#1 we trade, #1 we sign UFA). But I guess it can also be positioned as 3.

I'd take Nash if the price is right...I think we'll be able to get him for a discount if Howsen gets desperate enough.

I'd also take Penner but only if the price is right. I'm afraid his play in the playoffs will probably drive up his tag to the point where we shouldn't sign him...

The talking heads said Howson wanted 4 young assets in a Nash deal. The argument was that a guy like Nash should typically fetch 3 good young assets. A good young roster player, a top prospect, and a #1 pick.

Clb wanted more.

The market will depend on how many teams Nash puts on his list. The bigger the list ...the bigger the interest ...the higher the price.
