Do you really want the Leafs to acquire Dustin Penner? - Pecafan Fan
If the price is right...I wouldn't mind it.
He's a big body....plays a good board game....and would open up ice for our skilled players.
Not to mention he's clutch in the playoffs. |

I don't see Bernier as much...but given Allaire's style, and Linbacks size and athletism...I think they can make magic happen. - Pen15
Or just fire Allaire, and let Reimer get back to the way he was, ie challenging shooters and being at the top of his crease.
As for Scrivens, one guy that Allaire didn't (frank) up. But there's nothing more to teach. The guy will sink or swim at the NHL level in 2012/13....and is on his way to winning a Calder Cup in 2011/12. |

What do you think we'd have to give up to get Lindback or Bernier? - Pen15
Honestly, I don't know. I'm not good with predictions like that on goalies who aren't starters already |

Ok fine, but Lindback isn't currently performing better than Reimer... so your point is moot. - mfreedman
Right...but my point is it would be a potential for potential swap...

so fire the goalie coach who has coached a hall of famer and a couple of Conn Smythe winner so he can let Reimer become the goalie that he was for about 30 games?

He's a big body and he's 30.
Plays a good board game but once every 15 games.
Open up ice for skilled players by throwing pancakes at the opposition?
Clutch in the playoffs he has no part in helping his team make. |

If its trade and fa to change things up, I'd like to get Zajac if we're going for a centre. 6'3 Canadian boy. Hell, lets grab Zajac and Parise.
But I'm just a bandwagon devil fan right now. |

It's funny how Reimer's 30 games are more valid of an argument than Lindbacks... |

Winning battles in dirty areas is tough for one of the laziest players in the league. |

And Scrivens. - Unholy_Goalie
I was thinking size wise but Scrivens is at the point now that he has to be given a chance, It will be hard to bury him the AHL for another season plus he is an RFA, doubt Burke will go with Reimer & Scrivens, too much inexperience again.
Always have been a big supporter of Scrivens, this will be interesting to see which way it goes. |

Every coach has a shelf life. The game is constantly changing. Or do believe that Mike Keenan is still a good coach in today's NHL? |

Again...not being signed for point production...being signed to open up space and win board battles....two things we sorely lack.
EDIT: And if you think he didn't contribute to the LA Kings making the playoffs then you clearly have no concept of hockey. |

They actually are. Want to know why?
Reimer cost the Leafs nothing.
Lindback, according to you, would cost the Leafs Schenn and Kulemin.

No, the difference is we don't have to give up a 2nd round pick and Reimer for Reimer's 30 games, or a Reimer and Kulimen for Reimer's 30 games. Hope that didn't confuse you. |
