Hjalmarsson, Kruger, and a 1st round pick to Colorado for Stastny. The Av's are deep at C, and thin on D with a bunch of RFA's to sign, Hawks get their #2 C. Then sign 2 of Allen, Carle, Wideman, Sarich, Hannon, Carkner. Sign Konopka.

Why not just trade Hammer/Kruger for Plekanec? You trade $4.4 mil for $5 mil. They need D-men and Bergevin has seen Kruger plenty. Even if the Hawks don't get Suter, they're quite a few d-men available via FA this offseason, several of which are big physical guys.
