I gotta our next goalie!
http://www.torontosun.com...notes-the-return-of-hasek
Dominator!
Before all of you get on the no band wagon.... realize this..... he is better than what we got, even at 47 years of age. Last season in the KHL he posted a 2.15 GAA with .915 S%.
He would look slick back in our jersey. It was always a big mistake trading him instead of trading Eddie. |

They both have their strengths, you mentioned Konopka's. Burish is a better skater, has more offensive talents, and is bit more versatile in that he can move up and down the lineup a bit if needed.
I'd take either or both, and not think twice about it. - Ogilthorpe2
Yes konopka is a tried and true 4th liner burish can fill more rolls than K

I was actually thinking Hammer and Danault since he is a Quebec native if I am correct. (Would love to put Frolik in that deal too and pick up Emelin). - hawks2010
True, but adding Kruger frees up a possibly much needed $900k and Danault is likely to be better than Kruger anyway. I'd love to see Frolik fetch Emelin, even though I'm a big Frolik fan and think he's under utilized by Q. Give him some quality PT on the 2nd line for more than a couple games and he'll give you what he's worth. Bergevin knows the Hawks like the back of his hand. It's certainly not far fetched to have him reach for a few guys from our roster or Rockford.

Why can't the Hawks' PP look as good as NJ's just did?
What a great goal. |

Silly, Kruger has proven he is a NHL player, Danault has proven zip. |

Hey Ogi, I like your trades, what if we added this too:
Sharp, Frolik, and prospect to the Islanders for Matt Martin and Streit. Second line now has - Martin, Statsney, and Hossa
Streit runs the power play.

Ummmmm really?
You're going to get nit picky about two hall of fame goalies? Seems ridiculous.

Maters signs 1 year extension. Interesting. I thought he was gone, then again he is a Q guy.

Agree...
Can't blame the Hawks front office for keeping Belfaur. |

Yes REALLY! I'm not arguing about who is in net but trading Eddie would have yielded us a huge return and Dominator would have been the starter. Instead we traded Hasek for a bucket of non-alcoholic beer. |

True but his talent was on display during the highest pressure situations during the SC finals. He denied Super Mario twice on breakaways and while we still lost he kept us in games unlike Eddie. IMHO Hasek ended up the better goalie in the end and for obvious reasons. |
