Ok I have a serious question here....... What is with the hatred towards Nickelback?? 100% honest inquiry here I am not in Canada so I don't get the constant radio play ppl complain about and I do get that most of the pop music stuff sounds similar but seriously they are a great band!! I like the harder hitting stuff like Burn it, Animals among others and don't understand the hate they get from ppl!! Yeah they sound the same as does EVERY band, ACDC has the worst case of the soundthesames yet no ones female doges about them!! I for one like Nickelback and can honestly say I don't get why ppl hate on them so much, They are the most successful Canadian band ever (maybe this is why)? I know success breeds hatred but seriously folks I am 100% certain any and all of your favorite bands sound the same!!

Success or popularity doesn't always translate into meaning somethings good, for example, justin beiber is quite popular, at one time so was the slinky and rubiks cube, and also crack, heroin and cocaine are popular, i wouldn't call any of those things i just listed good. I personally hate nickleback cause i met chad kroeger once and he is a complete bumhole, then after that encounter i actually sat down and listened to their music and quite frankly, it kinda sucks

To be honest with you, I don't hate Nickelback at all. It's fun to rip on them because everyone else does. More than being bad, Nickelback is boring and very trailer park. Songs about doing it. Songs about beating the crap out of someone. Songs about beating the crap out of someone while doing it. Songs about breaking up with girl you use to do it with. Yawn.

If the Oilers had a top goalie like Quick they might have made the playoffs, but that's just me

Personal experiences I get (hating Kroeger because he was a Richard to you) Ok cool but hating on the music is another....... I have met osme Oilers that were douches as well but to take that as a reflection on the entire team or league is not cool!! I met Nickelback once as well by accident at a club in Edmonton and I somehow ended up in their VIP room and they all seemed quite cool...... But I was wasted as were they. But the music (Hate the poppy stuff like someday, saving me, far away) but love the hard raw stuff like Animals, Because of you, Burn it, side of a bullet and the other harder stuff. I love the fact that they have hard drums and wicked guitar riffs. But again maybe it is because I am not in Canada and don't get them crammed down my throat either (one of the reasons I HATE the Leafs)??

I think the biggest thing is that they really are not good musicians they can play a few power chords but do not deserve the accolades they have received. They play boring generic "music" that appeals to the masses who can't quite figure out what is good music on their own. I feel the same about staind, creed, puddle of mud etc. The whole genre seems to be more about popularity than music and that pisses me off.
