Toughness is a state of mind. I know plenty of people who are physically strong but are actually embarrassingly weak individuals. I'm actually the strongest person I know, and I'm not saying that without reason.
As for fighting, do you think I'd actually still be writing on here if fighting bothered me?
As for getting laid, here's a word of advice: It's not a threesome if it's just you and two magazines. - Maxbone
For the record I have had a 3some and the cool one (2 chicks) and not a magazine in sight!! I am both mentally and physically strong hence the reason I get the nickeback stuff!! |

Johansen and the 2nd for the 1st? - freelancer
I wish.
My guess is that Columbus will give their 2nd round pick, which is, in a way, a 1st round pick. #30 overall. |

Considering you're all of about 13 years old, I find this comment highly disturbing. |

I'm sure there would have to more than that.
I'm guessing a 2nd & #2 for 1 overall. |

Exactly, really there is nothing else on Columbus's roster that I would consider moving for the 1st overall. If it does end up being something like the 2nd and their 2nd rounder...Tambs should be fired |

Yeah. Idk just a thought didn't really think about it much. I doubt they would trade Johnson unless they really want Yakupov that bad. |

I wouldn't trade Yak for Johnson straight up, much less include any promising prospects. |

Yes but they'd also be getting Ryan Murray while giving up Marincin and Pitlick |

Theyd be trading down. See, typically how trading down works is, you trade down and the other team gives up an asset to move up. You're suggesting giving up additional assets to move down. How it would work is Edm and CB would switch places and Columbus would give up a minor piece, maybe Methot or someone like that. JJ is NOT worth giving up additional pieces for. |

Maybe it's a multi-player deal? Johansen and the 2nd overall pick for 1st overall and Linus Omark?
See what I did there? I made a funny. |

The WSH Johansen, I would almost certainly trade the 1st overall for.
The Columbus Johansen, I would most certainly not. |

I wouldn't trade Yaks for Ryan Johansen straight up. The Oilers need a big center more than they need another winger, but Yaks is a potential 40g+ guy. Johansen looks promising but he's more of a if-he-scores-30g-per-season-great sort of guy.
I don't think the Oilers can squeeze Johansen AND the #2 overall pick for Yakupov. Too much to ask. I'm not sure what the Oilers would need to throw in to make it work, either. The Jackets already have a very-Gagner type center, they'd have no interest in Hemsky and Maggy might not be proven enough to be worth the risk. |

Richard Cloutier: Headlines from Around the NHL - Maxbone
Two Realistic trade-down scenarios:
1) Edmonton Trades the #1 overall for the #2 overall and the right to swap 1st rounders with Columbus in either 2013 or 2014 (2013 unless 1st overall, then 2014)
2) Edmonton Trades the #1 overall for the #2 overall and Marc Methot.
Trading down and picking Ryan Murray will really put the "in Stu we trust" mantra to the task though. |

I could see it if they also gave us the opportunity to swap 1st rounders next year as well. That way we get a certain asset in the second rounder and an uncertain asset which we use if columbus is worse than us next year. |

I actually think if the Oil trade down and take Murray, it's not because of Stu. Kevin Lowe absolutely loves Ryan Murray. Loved everything about him at the World Championships.
I don't see the Oilers and Jackets swapping picks, because the Jackets are likely a last-place team in 2012/2013, and the Oilers should have enough talent to work their way out of a Bottom 5 position. Maybe. Perhaps.
If the Oilers draft Murray and sign UFA Justin Schultz, would adding Methot actually make sense? I'm not sure it does. |

Personal experiences I get (hating Kroeger because he was a Richard to you) Ok cool but hating on the music is another....... I have met osme Oilers that were douches as well but to take that as a reflection on the entire team or league is not cool!! I met Nickelback once as well by accident at a club in Edmonton and I somehow ended up in their VIP room and they all seemed quite cool...... But I was wasted as were they. But the music (Hate the poppy stuff like someday, saving me, far away) but love the hard raw stuff like Animals, Because of you, Burn it, side of a bullet and the other harder stuff. I love the fact that they have hard drums and wicked guitar riffs. But again maybe it is because I am not in Canada and don't get them crammed down my throat either (one of the reasons I HATE the Leafs)?? - undisputed_8821
Well but ya see, thats the thing, chad kroeger is nickleback, front man, writes all their stuff, he is also technically theory of a deadman and default as well. I liked them when they first came out with their first album, right up until i heard the song rockstar and it almost made me puke. now there poppy sappy crap just sucks and yes like you said it is jammed down our throats in canada. Clouts says it perfectly, boring, songs about doing it and fighting and stuff, i guess it just got stale and boring. They pretty much just use drop d tuning and play fast loud and hard. Its not rocket science cause i can play most of their songs on my guitar and i suck |

Personally I would not do this deal unless it was Johansen and the 2nd or perhaps as mentioned above the right to swap picks next year. I would be willing to throw in another asset to even out the Johansen and the 2nd swap. Leaving the summer with Schultz, Johansen, and Ryan Murray would be a huge victory for the Oil.
I just hope Tambi isn't listening to the fans. Fans are stupid. Yes fans buy tickets and merchandise, that won't change here in Edmonton. If they do this, I just hope they see Ryan Murray as a Ryan Suter type defenseman. They better not be doing this to get another Ryan on the team
Edit: I'd also prefer leaving the summer with Schultz, Nikitin, and Galchenyuk |
