Well, teams that play defensive-minded hockey, do seem to have an advantage of sorts against teams that play an aggressive forechecking system.
Often, they can't generate any speed through the neutral zone to either carry it in or else dump it in recover it quickly. Very often it seems like the "attack" team get outnumbered around the puck.
