Ok, the forwards I would have a real hard time giving up in a trade are Giroux (obviously), Coots, Schenn, and Read. I just love the idea of having G, Coots, and Schenn possibly being the top 3 centers for the next 5 years or more.
- ravishingone

I like Schenn but I need to see more of him before I make an opinion on him.

Couturier is a special player at 19 years old.

subban then bogosian. pk has shown up and played well in big games.
- isaiah520

Subban is really an interesting possibility. I read during the season he really got on the nerves of his teammates, with all the changes in the front office and coaching I wouldn't be suprised if P.K. is moved.

I guess it depends what your definition of "premier" is.

Ex: Chara, Weber, Doughty, Lidstrom, Keith, Letang

- stveshdy

someone who positively effects match ups and delivers value on O and D. your list is bang on.

I bet theres lots of fans of other teams doing the hypothetical thing with Carle that we are with Suter. If Suter resigns, go for Carle.

He may not be a top tier defensemen, but he is very effective when not asked to play a million minutes a game

talk out of MTL is that he's a cornerstone plyr, so I I don't think it's likely.

It depends, Montreal was a train wreck this year. Was P.K. a bad apple because he didn't fit in, or was he frustrated by other teammates not working hard? I honestly don't have the answer, that is why he is an interesting possibility.

I just hope the Flyers don't give up their first round pick if they do a trade. I like watching the draft and having a little suspense that the Flyers actually have a pick. It was great to watch last year's draft with Coots and Hamilton dropping.

Carle is a very good compliment defenseman. Hes not a superstar or an elite defenseman but hes solid.

Off the top of my head not sure about that. I'd probably give up JVR for him though.

I'm sure that will get talks started

Bogosian will need an extension too.

Read - I put on the list not only because of his versatility, but his cap hit for the next 2 years is tremendous value to the team.

Do you expect a big move? I'm kind of on the fence. I'm hoping for a move like Mez a couple years ago.
