Yakupov and Scissons for the first two Oiler picks I hope.
Huddle can you give me a good scouting report on Scissons, I've seen him play a couple times and I love him. |

Strong skater who's explosive, but lacks speed. Strong as an ox when he gets in front of net or in dirty areas. Leader type kid-- always communicating and directing teammates like a general. Booming slapshot, keeps his head up which helps him offensively in taking passes and making them. Backchecks hard and deep, will come back right to his own goal line. Smart player. Decent hands in close. Plays a hard down low cycle game. First one on forecheck, first one on backcheck.
Reminds me of Andrew Ladd. Similar to Biggs last year, to bring out the best in Sissons he'll need a good center, as he doesn't generate offense on his own. |

Is Frederik Andersen now the best Goalie in this Draft after refusing to sign with Carolina? |

Doubt all three go in Top 4. Faksa likely won't go til 8-10, but these are personal rankings vs. consensus lists. |

Suppose it depends on how you look at this. Like Huddle said Faksa is unlikely to go top 5 so actually more like only 2 centers available in the top 5. Though suppose if Forsberg could be converted to center eventually could bring it up to 3.
But true in the end these are just rankings and not a mock. Very possible one team at least picks up a defenceman between 1-4 so more than likely the Leafs will have a crack at one of the top forwards. Though in the end if they don't then get to have first pick out of all the d-men available and that's not a terrible thing. |

Hey Brian what do you make of dumbas core? I saw a clip on tsn with his shirt off and they were talking about his physique. Do you think that'll sway scouts and gmail toward him rather than doubting his size? |

I'm not worried about his height, no. He's built like a brick wall. Core strength is the most important part of the physique of a player who plays that way-- and he has it.
My concerns with him relate to his decision making. |

This list looks great. I think a few too many of the europeans are rated too high because they "play against men". Pontus Aberg is in the right spot. I can't see anyone taking him in the first round. Ville Pokka and Seth Griffith could be steals of the day in the future going that late. |

I heard it's better than subbans and there aren't many teams who would pass on him again. Think it can be improved on or maybe come with maturity? |

Brian, I have seen some pictures of Galchenyuk with other prospects like Yakupov and Murray. He does not appear to have the huge size that some have alluded to.
Last night he sat beside Grigenkorio and Grigenkorio towered over him. Not only was Grigenkorio clearly taller, he was a much larger physical presence.
Do you have some numbers on his weight and height directly from the combine?

I'm not sure why anyone would really worry about the weight of the player. Height I can understand if he is under 5'10". May be a bit small. With proper nutrition and weight training, could put on 10 lbs of muscle or more over the summer. When drafting I'd be looking mostly at skills and compete level most of all. A lot of skills can be skill taught but if doesn't compete now who says he ever will onces he's got a big fat nhl contract. |

I notice Sam Kurker, ranked 36, isn't on your list. That just cause you haven't seen him or that you don't like him?

Subbans athleticism is intriguing. And considering the fact he only started goalie at 12 might mean his development could continue up at a better pace than other goalies. I hope the oilers got a good look at him. I'd love for us to have a potential star goals in our pipeline. |
