Boston is the new Detroit. With all their talent they can bring along prospects at whatever pace needed.

Look at what patience allows you-- building up a group of assets to the point you can then play a waiting game with prospects. Heck, look at LA who still have a decent crop of youngers, but were able to deal away young pieces for the right pieces in Richards/Carter.

People discount the small depth signings that teams do, but if it means allowing you some flexibility with a prospect you have to do it.

Exactly.

I always laugh when I see an NHL team post on Facebook that they've signed a depth player or a prospect and all the posts immediately following are "Gee, this is really gonna get us a Cup, eh Burke?!" or "Dear Tambellini-- WE DON'T CARE! Sign someone good for once" or something.

Gonna do two a day on a couple of them so that we're done by the Draft.

Late. He's got a nice package, but hasn't produced at a great rate, and took a weird development path.

I wonder If Boston takes a goalie here. With Thomas out of the picture (for at least a year) they could use a high end talent in goal to bring along slowly. I think they go subban or dansk here huddle.

Chiarelli is against using high picks on goalies.

He's been stockpiling goalie prospects for a while. Hutchinson, Morrison, Svedberg, Gothberg, Volden. None particularly highly rated but lots of guys being added.

Hey Huddle, totaly unrealated to this stinky Bruins blog, but I've been reading alot about Faska being predicted to go to the Leafs at #5. Is he the guy you have a crush on? I've been concentrating so much on the typical guys, Galy + Grigs etc. that I literally know nothing about him. Is there an article you've written on this guy? Like an in depth peice or a prediction about his future or anything?

Thanks man.

Hey I read up on him, 1 site said he's 6'-2" 185lbs another says 6'-3" 200+

But both say that he is incredible rookie of the year amazing speed and hell of a shot came runner up for rookie of the year losing to Ekblad the exceptional status guy. Best of all they say he's very physical The more I read the more I like man. So can you verify if this is all true? what are the weak spots in his game, what's a good NHL prediction for him like how high is his ceiling compared to the others ranked in the top 5. I just want the best for the Leafs, they need some good news lol. He's a center too, is he a good one? Good on faceoffs? does he have that Center vision?
