I think we should trade for Shea Weber too! They'd probably accept Pysyk and a 1st for him.
Seriously, Quit drinking before 10am.....

The Ducks aren't having a garage sale and you really want a 5' 11" winger who's going to fetch a small fortune?
Anyway, this thread is about the draft. I don't think we move up - either we'll draft in our position for best available or trade the picks for a player. |

Ill take a guy like this any day of the week, with the added bonus of NHL bloodlines sign me up. Sounds like he isnt a liability in either end of the rink. Needs to improve skating but that sounds like another son of a former NHL we have all come to love. |

Seems high for Samulesson. I don't think I'd take him until the 2nd, I just don't see more than the 3rd line role. |

well that pretty much sounds like a buffalo player then.. because we are not capable of drafting anything much other than 3rd line players |

Pretty much all of the forwards from 20 on are big question marks as far as upside whether 3rd liner or not. |

Serious overpayment for Shea. He shouldn't cost that much since he isn't signed yet.. |

For being considered a weak Draft lacking star power, it seems there is a lot of near surefire NHL talent all the way into the 2nd Round.
Are there any reliable, primarily shutdown D that are being overlooked with all the flashy offensive D going in the 1st Round? Maybe a good early 2nd Round option? |

Seems like a waste although if Samulesson can be a pest on the third line that's far better than just being a checking line 3rd liner.

Not that the trade has any realism to it but Weber is an RFA not a UFA and that changes the value as well. |

Definitely the kind of guy Lindy likes on the ice with two minutes left when we're down by one. |

I was thinking that too while reading it. Judging solely on what others say and his stats he does seem like a slightly more talented Marcus Foligno. |

Guys we are talking about the same guy who drafted Andrew Peters 34th (137 picks before Datsyuk) so im alarmed he didnt trade up.
Seems that with the draft being pretty weak the pick trade is the route I like. |

There were 171 guys taken before Datsyuk. No GM in the league saw that coming. |
