I take thaat from Chicago fans I read from other boards. I will take your word for that. He has 1 30 goal season. The Bruins need a guy who can consistently put the puck in the net 30+ times a season. I just don't think Kane is that guy. And I would not give up Marchand and Hamilton for him. I would like him on the team. Dont get me wrong. For a Krejci and another prospect i would do it. Not Marchand and Dougie. - SandyMoger
Pray to god that Ryan becomes available. The problem is you want a 30 goal scorer be prepared to pay, although Krecji and a prospect probably gets you one. |

You started off okay, then it fell completely off the tracks with the Edmonton/NYI trade. 3 "first round" picks for Yakupov? You're dreaming Homer! Strome and the 4th would be "over paying", forget De Haan.
Are you really the best Edmonton blogger they could find??? I thought Edmonton was the City of Champions???

Wow. I want a hit on the pipe. Yakupov for Strome, a 4th overall pick and De Haan. That seems fair. - wendel13
Garth Snow vomits on his shirt. Drop Strome and you are closer.
Look at the history of the draft moving three spots cost at most a second or third rounder. Now the pick being first overall tweeks that a bit. But from 4th to 1st doesnt warrant a #5 overall pick(Strome) and a12th overall pick(Dehaan).
You crazy. |

Coming to this site to find the best Edmonton blogger is like going to Mcdonalds to find the best quality burger you can get. If you weren't a complete moron you would know where to look for more serious blogs. Come on, this is Eklunds site, why would you think that a homer like him would have legitimate writers on his site??? |

No thanks to the Tampa deal. That's a boatload of salary for two aging players who will be retired in a few years. Giving up all the youth you have going to Calgary makes zero sense. |

Its just a joke dude, simmer. Besides, i said nothing bad about Columbus at all, strictly talking about the hockey team and making a reference to the fact the franchise player wants out. Its only sports, nothing to take too seriously |

In all fairness that isn't a bad deal IMO. I don't know that they'd get much more. - Lahey
Totally a great deal for CBJ, not sure the picks after 10th are gonna be all that good but if they are smart and have good scouting they can make it work. They are gonna lose Nash anyways so green coming back the other way helps them out somewhat, assuming he can stay healthy. But moving from the east to the west as an injury prone player doesnt bode very well. |

I heard that Burke offered Lupul, Kadri, Schenn, and Gustavsson for Nash and Sanford. But Columbus wanted Reimer instead of Gus and Burke wouldnt give him up.
Just a discussion piece and what Nash is apparently worth in Burke's mind. |

How is that a win-win for the Islanders? Losing strome, and de haan, and the 4th pick? Wow what a homer. More like Strome and a prospect. Noone in the top 5, will give you that much for Yakupov. He is the clear number one choice, only because there's questions marks with the other players. Gally or Grigz can challenge him as the best players from this draft. |

Trade #1
Not bad but I think Hamilton would be tough to give up. He has future #1 dman written all over him. Chara is not getting any younger, that will be a huge hole to fill.
#2
Makes sense minus the conditional pick. I think the only condition is that it should be lottery protected. How bad would it be if the Leafs finished in a lottery position next year in one of the better anticipated drafts of the last 5 years.
#3
Terrible
#4
Feaster is raped and can't sit for weeks.
#5
Creative, cant see the Canucks going for it when they are likely to move Luongo and not take one of the worst contracts currently in the league.
#6
Fair deal, Jackets stock the cupboard with 4 first round picks, maybe they could move Green for more. How about Green/2Wash Picks for Hemsky and 1st overall. They could then draft YAK and Gal.
#7
Not a fan of Clowe, pass. I would prefer adding a first for Iginla. |

Kadri, Schenn & Gustavsson are nothings. So basically Lupul for Nash. Not a bad deal if it did end up going down. |

Nash is a rare type of player, so teams will have to pay to get him. |

Burke's mind is quite unique.
Although Slats offered lots too. The question becomes now that the dust has settled what do these GM's think?
Kinda odd that Howson said no. Sure Reimer is better, but is that the deal breaker? |

1. The Chicago Blackhawks offer Patrick Kane (RW) to the Boston Bruins for Brad Marchand (C) and Dougie Hamilton (D).
The Bruins desperately need an ace right winger, and can immediately challenge for a cup in 2012/2013 with it.
Umm... the Bruins right-wingers this season were Horton and Seguin. Seguin had the fourth-most-productive season for a 19 year-old forward since the lockout. Horton was on-pace for a 30-goal season before the concussion and is on-tract to return next year. By dumping Marchand, they're actually making a big hole on the LEFT side.
Dougie Hamilton is arguably the best defensive prospect in the game. Kane's points and baggage aren't worth the deal. The Bruins are built to win for a while - and Dougie's a big reason why.
Adding Kane would be awesome for the Bruins - but this isn't the deal that get's it done. I don't think these teams are good trade partners anymore, now that TT has gone on his sabbatical.
Krejci, their 2012 1st, a top-prospect (Caron/Spooner/Knight... not Hamilton) and perhaps McQuaid would be the package the Bruins might put together for Kane. I don't think it's enough - but that's probably the best they could logically offer. |

Schenn had a bad year, Kadri will be an NHL player in my opinion. Im happy the rumored trade didnt go through. Nash has quite the contract. |

Because of injury. He was a top rated prospect. Did well in Anaheim got traded to a poop hole city and went down hill. |
