First!
The Chicago Blackhawks offer Patrick Kane (RW) to the Boston Bruins for Brad Marchand (C) and Dougie Hamilton (D).
I like Marchand, but the Hawks have Shaw and Carcillo, who are both similar players. I'd figure Krejci and Hamilton for Kane and Lalonde would make a little more sense to me.

That Bruins trade sucks. We be adding 4 million more in cap that we have no room to begin with. Plus the Bruins are not trading Hamilton. Bad deal. |

The Leaf trade is fair value, but one I hope Burke doesnt make. Stay at 5 and draft a center.
The EDM/NYI trade is just silly. The 4th+Strome is a massive overpayment by itself, dont need to throw in De haan as well. Again, Yakupov is the clear #1 choice in this draft, but in no way is he miles ahead of the guy who will be there at 4. |

In what world is this a bad deal for Boston. Seguin-Kane duo? Do you not want another stanley cup? Kane is easily the best player in this deal both short term and long term. |

Not even close for Getzlaf, plus Teemu WILL retire if that trade goes through so the Ducks would be losing 2 top 6 forwards.
Of course Yost will accept this unbelievably one sided deal. |

Have to move Thomas if he doesnt play next year to open up space. He has basically royally (frank)ed the bruins. |

Wow. I want a hit on the pipe. Yakupov for Strome, a 4th overall pick and De Haan. That seems fair. - wendel13

They are horrible trading partners. Are they not both desperate for D? |

False. The Getzlaf trade is an overpayment on Toronto's side. That is most likley the equivalent of 3 top 5 picks... |

Getzlaf is a #1 center no doubt, and his size is impressive, but he hasnt put up astonishing numbers playing with two fellow superstars. With only one year left on his contract, it will be difficult to find a team willing to give up more value. |

Yeah i read them all but sometimes I forget myself. Anyways, I have never seen him come up with anything remotely close to a fair trade. |

3. The Edmonton Oilers send the 1st overall draft pick in 2012 to the New York Islanders for their 1st overall pick in 2012 (4th overall), Ryan Strome (C) and Calvin de Haan (D).
Not a chance this ever happens. Maybe the #4 and Strome OR the #4 and deHaan...not all 3 though.
Strome is a future 1st line, playmaking winger...we don't need him to play center as Brock Nelson will take the 2nd line center in 2013-14.
deHaan will see a mix of NHL and AHL time this year, getting bigger in the AHL while learning from Streit in the NHL. He will take over Streit's spot on the 2nd pair/1st PP pari in 2013-14 when Streit is either gone/traded/or resigned but playing 3rd line minutes.
NYI won't rid themselves of the #4 pick, a 1st line winger, and a top-4 defenseman for Yakupov.
How about the #4, deHaan, and Anders Lee (a future 2nd line power f/w [6'3" 215]...kid needs 1 more year of NCAA and 1 year in the AHL). |

Kane is a better center than a winger. We need a guy like Parise or Iginla or even Nash(even though I want nothing to do with him) before Kane. Kane is a great player, but I dont know if he is exactly the fit we need. Plus we got enough off the ice problems with our guys already here. Dont need more of it. |

Ummm, no he's not....he's a natural RW'er and fizzled spectacularly as a center in Chi this season.... |

Trade #3, 4 and 5 are absolute jokes and completely moronic on so many levels.
Edmonton would never in their wildest dreams get an offer remotely close to that. Rejected.
Flames are overpaying big time and not getting a good enough return. Accepted.
Vancouver loses this deal and makes absolutely no sense for them. They need to make room for Schneider to become their starter why would they bring in someone with a higher cap hit than Luongo and 10x worse to be the back up? JVR is not enough to justify that trade happening, not sure anything would make up for that swap. Unlike Bryz, Luongo has value. Accepted. |

I take thaat from Chicago fans I read from other boards. I will take your word for that. He has 1 30 goal season. The Bruins need a guy who can consistently put the puck in the net 30+ times a season. I just don't think Kane is that guy. And I would not give up Marchand and Hamilton for him. I would like him on the team. Dont get me wrong. For a Krejci and another prospect i would do it. Not Marchand and Dougie. |
