7. The San Jose Sharks send Ryan Clowe (RW/LW) to the Ottawa Senators for Robin Lehner (G) Mark Stone (RW).
Analysis: The Sharks need a real starting goalie, and Lehner is perhaps the best goalie prospect around. Clowe is a huge player to give up for two players considered "prospects", but Ryan is set to become a UFA in 2013. Stone put up ridiculous numbers during his last year of Junior this season. If the Senators can find a way to keep Clowe around for multiple seasons, this trade is a good one for both teams. - Maxbone
The Sens have a vested interest in Lehner. He's their goalie of the future. Ryan Clowe is a good role player, but the sens have guys like Foligno and Neil to fill that role.

I would suggest that Greening is closer to the Clowe model. Similar size, can play physical, puts up decent points and is four years younger. Also brings the Gary Roberts intensity that more and more is being identified with The Rock. Make no mistake, love Clowe, but not what Ottawa needs at this time. But, if you added Clowe to the existing Ottawa roster, they would be a very nasty bunch to play against.
You are going to be very upset when hes traded I see. You are getting NOTHING for him. He wants out, his contract is god awful and he will only be a number one goalie for 3-4 years.
LOL on the Calgary/Tampa deal. Iggy alone would fetch a deal like that and maybe better. So the flames would just throw in all-star goalie Kipper for free? If you are going to do this trade forum make it a bit more realistic. Loungo for JVR and Bryz? What the hell would Vancouver want with Bryz? The main reason they are going to trade Loungo is that they have Schneider waiting to take over. Maybe do some research next time. You should be fired.

Not enough for Luongo. - CanuckforLife
The thing is you guys are dumping his salary your not gonna get a boatload for him maybe another prospect like mueller or something or a second round pick but thats about it.

Guess we will have to wait and see, but we will not give him away for garbage. Florida is coming to the game now, Leafs might have to step up their offer
They won't get that much out of him. Yes he's an elite goalie but his contract is a huge turn off for teams. Probably a 2nd rounder rather than a 4th but idk just a thought
