They won't get that much out of him. Yes he's an elite goalie but his contract is a huge turn off for teams. Probably a 2nd rounder rather than a 4th but idk just a thought - OilerFanFromBC

Clouts, I said it on Yost's comment section.
But you should consider a NJ/EDM deal. NJ would kindly take a forward like Paajarvi, and can afford to give up a defensemen off their roster and/or a defensive prospect as they have a ton of them. EDM has room to take some cap from a Devils d-man like Volchenkov or Tallinder. |

Huet at his best (you can't argue he wasn't "elite" at the time) fetched a 2nd rounder. Nuck fans are going to be upset with what they get back. |

NO team should be allowed to make any deals...period!! Everyone else's players suck and ours are the best...nuff said!! (general statement)
Each team should be allowed maybe two trades per NHL calendar year and that's it, you must build through the draft and free agency
GM's like Burke would be fu-bar'd if that were to ever happen - LeftCoaster
Looks like someone found a way to take all the fun out of the trade deadline |

Please take Kessel. I'll take the sisters?
EDIT: OMG I just thought of THE worst line in NHL history. Sedin, Sedin, Kessel. Chara could go on the ice, growl and the bruins would win the game. - lightz39
I believe the last eight games between the two teams it's 4 wins apiece, Chara must have missed four of em
Unfortunately they got to four before we did! |

Nobody is taking either of those defensemen. Volchenkov is overpaid and signed for too long. He is nothing more than a bottom pairing D man. Tallinder is solid and is probably a 2nd pairing D man but is coming off a long term injury. Paajarvi has fallen off a bit but is probably worth more than those two. Not sure he is exactly what we need anyways. |

A real goalie......
It's going to suck seeing Parise in a Rangers jersey next season. |

Did you see the deal I 'made' in Cordell's blog?
When it comes down to it, Edmonton could use a few NHL d-men, and with some picks going each way, it could wind up working out with Paajarvi. |

Gagner + 2013 1st for Schultz and 6th overall. - Lahey
Overpay by Edm. Good chance Schultz walks July 1. I'd go for something like Gagner+Peckham+Conditional Pick for 6th and Schultz. Pick is 3rd if Schultz walks, 1st if he signs. How's that? |

Paajarvi for Volchenkov or Tallinder? No thanks... unless you're adding the 29th/30th overall and a prospect, MAYBE... but I would still not like the deal in favor of the Oilers... |

Of course, you'd have to sweeten the pot. Devils probably could add another defensive prospect into the mix. Obviously not straight up, but the Devils could afford to give one of them up. |

Why would the Islanders want to move up anyway? They are in a perfect position to pick up a dman at 4. - Leafs43
I dont think they should at all... but if they were to, it would have to be something along these lines for it to somewhat acceptable

How about:
NJ: Paajarvi,
EDM: Tallinder, Urbom, 3rd rounder

If Luongo was being traded for Schenn, it would probably be straight up like that with maybe a late draft pick thrown in |

Depends, if the Devils resign Salvador, I would contemplate that deal. I think it's overpayment for an unproven commodity. I am one of the people that really undervalue prospects, and I'd much rather quantity over quality. In that trade, EDM gets the quantity advantage. |

Schenn isn't good enough for a str8 up deal. Besides the Leafs are sending at least Komisarek's contract the other way. It will most likely be a multi-player deal |

Didn't Schenn play like poop this season. Isn't Luongo much better than what you have? |
