All I ask of the Flyers brass is to draft the best available player.

So what exactly was his injury problem?
Also is hockeydb paying you not to include the guys height and weight
Have to think if the injury is that big of a concern that he falls into the second. |

He's 6'2, 185 lbs
He had shoulder surgery and missed time because of it. Shoulder looked fine at the combine though. |

Brian, do you agree with the idea that his skating and physical play are that strong he could have been top 10 if he had not had the injury? |

The problem I have with the combine is depending what you are doing you might not have any issues until the next day or a couple days later. Outside of these guys going through a week long workout I don't think you'll ever know just how good that shoulder is, unless of course he goes to do the bench press and the bar hits him in the head because his shoulder blew out on him. |

No, it is the idea that his puck handling and skating could have pushed into the to 10. |

Yes, but because he was injured, it won't. |

No worries. For me, Koekkoek is one of my favorite D in this draft. Think he's a player. |

Last season the Flyers struck gold because Cooter came down with Mono.
I would be OK with it happening 2 years in a row.

Must say, as a fan of these blogs and of your work in general, that's also the first question I come up with. Granted, by the time they actually suit up for their teams those numbers would be different... but it gives a good directional indicator of the player's frame. |

So they choose a Defenseman every so often, and it turns into Luca Sbisa. =P

I'd like this, it would be tough if Matt Finn is still on the board |

He was impressive with limited footage, even though he'll likely need more time to develop he good be a gem. |

I feel the same way about the Oilers picking him anywhere before the third round. |
