If the Oilers to trade Hemsky to the Bruins for their pick I think it would be better if they took a goalie in Vasilevski or Subban since both goalies could be gone before the 32nd overall pick. I'm sure a solid d-man will still be available for the Oilers to select come the 2nd round like Koekkoek, Lindholm, Schmaltz, or Thrower if teams decide to pass on them in the 1st round. I personally think it would be a smarter idea to shop Whitney instead of Gagner to try and acquire another top 10 pick. A team like Minnesota could use some defense so maybe a trade like:
MIN: Whitney, 32nd Overall, 2nd Rounder(2013 via ANA), Hamilton
EDM: 7th Overall, 4th Rounder
Resulting in Oilers Drafting:
1st - Nail Yakupov
7th - Griffin Reinhart OR Morgan Rielly
24th - Andrei Vasilevski
Only thing that could make this better would be if Schultz signs but this is just a little thought that came to mind... - OilerFanFromBC
Don't you guys have enough prospects though? you would trade one of the only competent defenseman on a terrible defense?
You need proven nhlers not only kids who Are overrated by their apparent potential
Sure that 6th round pick could be better than Gagner, but so could that 2nd round pick. No way the Oilers are making any moves of this nature, in my opinion. Only way Gagner is dealt is for a top 4 defenceman of around the same age.
Really can't see the Habs parting with Subban either, the kid is a stud.
J Schultz would be great, as would Jackman. Klefbaum should show up close to the end of year, it'll be interesting to see him in Oiler blue I'm very curious as to how quickly he will adapt to the North American game, if at all. The Oilers will continue to make progress, and as I do every year I get excited. Let's all hope this year we have a better team to watch.

Pfffttt did I say Whitney?... I meant Potter... ya.. duhhh.. ha.. haha... - OilerFanFromBC
No worries, always good to spitball, If Whitney can't get healthy we'll probably wonder why we didn't trade him at the draft. Right now though I don't want to trade any players for more picks (unless some one is willing to take Omark, Khabi, and Peckham for a pick)
I do hope the team doesn't bother with Parros, although Tootoo could be an interesting addition. He's a little bundle of hits skating around all the time. Tootoo, Pertrell (has played centre in his career) and Eager would be a great energy 4th line and super fun to watch.

Hey, Bob McKenzie is putting out his draft rankings list tomorrow! Bob doesn't use his own opinion on this. He takes a poll of NHL Scouts, and he compiles a ranking using their rankings of players. It's sort of a consensus thing.
Just to get this out there before Bob posts his list, allow me to put up a prediction of what he'll say the Top 15 players are (in order of ranking). Keep in mind this isn't how I'd rank players...this is just what I think Bob is going to say.

Any of you bro-turds read what Craig Button said recently? That the Russian factor is the stupidest thing ever and teams would be nuts to let Yakupov or Grigorenko get away from them basically. When like 2 weeks ago when he released his someone who is attracted to the opposite sex rankings he had Grigs at 20 because of the Russian factor.
