He was the best player available. It was a gamble between seguin and hall for that draft. Has anyone emerged from that draft like hall or seguin. No. Except skinner who was a good pick as well. 3 players emerging from the draft and for a guy who scored 27 goals and missing 21 games, he could of had almost 35 goals with a 70 pt season surely if he played the full 82

You're also forgetting about Cam Fowler, who was supposed to be one of the top picks, and fell rather inexplicably... and is proving that he should, in fact, have been in the top-3, as was initially expected.

I'm trying to prove a point to this guy that old cups don't matter in the new nhl and he has to open his eyes and understand this isn't the old nhl. Also slamming the canucks organization because he has no comeback. No need to bring us into it and talk crap

For a guy whos 20-21 that is incredible.... he keeps getting better and better my friend, you cant pick a defender over a top guy like that, you just cant. Look at tampa bay for example, they drafted hedman over duchene and evander kane. Even though they are stacked with forwards, they would be over the top with kane or duchene... hedman isnt even that special in my opinion... he doesnt have that wow factor like a doughty, like a karlsson, like a weber, like a suter... see my point? Its hard to question defenders how theyt will turn out in the NHL, just look at schenn.. Its harder to project defenders than first overalls
