How is that wow? You say schenn can do all that stuff well hedman and murray can do that and some. Thats why murray played way more than schenn in the world championships at a younger age - Jake_1723
Did you really just say how is that WOW to suter... discussion closed. |

Im not saying teams shouldnt waste their time on murray, im saying yakopov is clearly the better choice to take as #1, despite that BS of Edmonton needs a defencemen scenario, they will get defencemen but you dont select murray over yako. Edmonton will get their defence straight in due time and like i said they have the assets to complete deals through hemsky, gagne, MPS, etc - Mapleleafs_91
Do you really think any of those guys gets you a #1 d-man? |

Suter is a great defenceman... This isnt up for debate.
Im not 100% sure hes a 'shut down' guy per se though.id say more of a true 2 way guy. He has offensive upside as well and is able to lead the rush from time to time.
He does cover up alot of webers mistakes and is the defensive concience of the 2.
In some ways hes the more complete dman of the two. |

He's steady defensively. His first pass is good but I wouldn't want him leading the rush. I'd sooner call him a defensive dman than an offensive one. His biggest asset is his mistake free defense. Just my opinion. |

Second of all, its a hunch. And based on some leaf fan who stated Schultz was looking at condos in toronto seems to be why i say he will be a leaf fan, with the fact of gardiner. So if bernier stays then he stays i dont have a problem with that. We have Scrivens and Reimer who have potential just the same as bernier who is unproven as well. Luongo will get you no more than a bag of pucks in my opinion, hes already 33, we are not even playoff ready, our team is in shambles in my opinion and is in need of a full rebuild. Not patch this up patch that up scenario which burke though he could do but has not worked out at all or to our advantage. - Mapleleafs_91
Ya when gaborik was a free agent there were reports he was in vancouver looking for a house too.... Burke said he has a 5 year rebuild its the 5th year everyone knows no that he fired wilson he is next if they miss playoffs this could be his last year so can you say luongo |

Edm has many assets it can and will put together in a package to shore up their defence.
U can be sure it wont be any of hall, ebs or the nuge.
And as far as the 1 pick goes, unless they get an overpayment, theyll happily keep the pick and draft yakupov |

Ya cause your team is no good right now I don't care phaneuf is not a captain that's all I have to say your captain should honestly be JML. He is a great veteran defenceman who has been around a long time and produced |

JML should be gone, taking up a roster spot and offensive zone that Gardiner should be on. |

Why the laughter? Last time i checked this was the proposal and rumour but wasnt enough for edmonton couple years ago and last time i heard, nashville needed forwards? |

Yes, his defensive abilities are what set him apart. But lets not forget how strong of a skater he is.
Whatever label we choose to use, hes strong at both ends.

Oh so hes a top pick, i wonder why he wasnt drafted top 5? 89 pts in 57 games is not wow for a defender? 61 pts in 48 games? does any defender this draft have a ratio differential like that? nope. Ryan Ellis is a soldier and was a soldier for the canadian juniors. But yeah that was the proposal back then but its a more fail of a trade proposal for edmonton if that offer was still considered thats why i put the "+" |
